I'm biased, but I prefer Serena by far! I have loved this name since I was about 13 for its meaning, its romance & its melodic flow. This was before it became semi-popular for having Serena Williams as a famous bearer. The name seems the have stayed just below the overly popular mark which pleases me & keeps me attached to it. As for Seraphina. To be honest I have not heard of this name before joining this board. It immediately makes me think of the movie Sarafina. That association is too ideologically loaded for me. Personally I think Serena as a nn for Seraphina is a bit of a stretch. Sarah, Fee or even Nina flow more naturally from Seraphina imo.
