[Games] Re: acg's Genetic CAF ROUND 3
I didn't realize you'd started--I'm sorry!Round 1: UN: array
LN: Underdahl
DH: Neil Johannes
DW: Mary Antonia
DS: Benedict Magnus "Benny"Congrats on your new son! He has dirty blonde hair and brown eyes. He weighed 9 lb 6 oz and was 22.2 inches long at birth. My husband, Neil, and I have just bought a new house--and just in time for our new little additions! It's two stories in a small town in Minnesota, and there are several large trees in the back yard. I think it looks like the perfect place to grow up. To make it nice and homey, we bought a little canary, and he lives in a cage in our kitchen and sings. I wanted to call him Orpheus, but Neil wanted him to be William the Conqueror, and I had to admit that was a lot more original than my idea!He is working at a car dealership and hopes to own his own sometime soon. I am a middle-school English teacher, which is brave of me, if I do say so myself. We're both having fun settling into this new life, especially with our beautiful new son, Benedict Magnus. In choosing his name, we decided to try to come up with something that would fit both our heritages. I'm Catholic, thus Benedict (after St. Benedict), and Neil and his sisters each have a Norwegian middle name, thus Magnus. Right now, we're calling him Benny for short. We're excited, but a little scared. But I'm sure most new parents feel that way!Round 2: UN: array
LN: Underdahl
DH: Neil Johannes
DW: Mary Antonia
DS: Benedict Magnus "Benny"
DS: Theodore Marten "Teddy"Wow, another baby! We named Theodore Marten the same way as Benny; his first name is for St. Theodore Kolyshov, and his middle name is after his grandpa, who died last May. Benny is doing well; he's two now, and he's mostly uninterested in his little brother, but I'm sure that'll change soon enough--before we know it, they'll be fighting like cats and dogs! Oh, I'm kidding. I hope they like each other.Speaking of relatives, though, my younger sister, Kitty, is going to be staying with us for a while. She's only eighteen, you know, and she's pregnant--doesn't know what to do, and she's going to live with us while Mom and Dad calm down. Kitty's a great girl--very tough, knows what she wants and goes for it, with black hair and green eyes. I'm rather surprised she's gotten into a mess like this, but she's always been a bit reckless. Maybe it's not so surprising after all. We've also got another pet. I really don't like dogs all that much, but Neil's wild for them (and I can live with them if I have to), and he was very insistent that Benny and Teddy have a proper little pet to grow up with. It's a little bichon frise / terrier mix of a mutt that we found at the Humane Society. Very nice little dog, considering. Her name is Nadia, because I've always liked it, but never enough to use on a baby.Round 3 (I'm gonna give them ages, I suppose): UN: array
LN: Underdahl
DH: Neil Johannes, 32
DW: Mary Antonia, 27
DSister: Katharine Louisa "Kitty" Haas, 22
---DD: Jane Louisa Haas "Janey," 3
AS: Andrew Mathias, 12
DS: Benedict Magnus, 5
DS: Theodore Marten, 3
DCanary: William the Conqueror
DDog: NadiaWell, the first thing you all should probably know is that we've had to move into a new house, since our family has grown to seven people and two animals! We'll start from the top of the list and work our way down.Neil has his own car dealership, and it's done very well! That's most of the reason we've been able to afford a new house--God knows that teachers don't get paid enough to buy five-bedroom houses on their own. I've been enjoying my work, though it's scary to watch the kids grow up so fast--the first ones I taught just graduated high school! Augh! Kitty has been unable to patch things up with Mom and Dad and is continuing to live with us. She chose to keep her daughter, Jane Louisa. We call her Janey most of the time, and she inherited most of Kitty's features; Janey's a beautiful little girl, with the same dark hair and smart eyes. It's really been helpful having Kitty around, though. When she's not at school (she's getting her BA on the weekends) or work, she's an invaluable member of the family. And it's nice to have some girls around here--makes me feel less outnumbered! We've just adopted a son--so much for evening up the ranks. His name is Andrew, and he's twelve years old. He's from Sweden, and his English is quite good (and being here in the US has improved it a lot, too). He's a great soccer player and has been teaching Benny the sport. Teddy and Janey aren't so interested--in fact, I think Janey's afraid of the ball! Kitty loves to play with him, too; she's quite athletic (and competitive!). He's a very smart boy, and a good role model for the younger ones.Benny has just started school, and boy! Did he come home with an attitude after the first day! No, it's fine, really. He enjoys it a lot--likes the other kids and learning about rainbows and bugs and things. Teddy and Janey are toddlers--into everything, and that's all that's necessary to know about them.Array
