I love the name Mariel; I think it's a great alternative for a name like Mary. I first heard it in a Redwall book, and liked it for both the sound and the brave character.
I think Lilah Mariel is an ok combo, but it'd be nice if it were a girl's first name. (Love the name Lilah, by the way, on its own or as a nn for Liliana)
