[Opinions] Re: Lesser used names as nicknames?

In response to Van being used for Sullivan, it wouldn't shock me. I have an uncle named Nicholas, and he goes by Las instead of Nick, Nicky or the less-common-but-still-more-common-than-Las, Cole. Also, I agree about the pilot. In my honest opinion, I don't think Sullivan should be used as a first name anyway.I don't think Adele works for Delphine because I think it's ripe for a comeback as a name in itself.Thea for Xanthe is fine by me, so is Calla for Calliope, and Cai for Mordecai.I love Declan, but I don't like Dex. I suppose it could work, but I'd never use it. I would probably just call him Declan, but maybe Dec once in a while.
