Evelyn for a boy makes me think of the Cole Porter musical Anything Goes.
There is a male character named Evelyn (pronounced like EE-ve-lin) who is a very comic character. He isn't dislikeable and is even the character that the song I Get a Kick (Out of You) is sung about, if I remember correctly.
I like Evelyn Balthazar, Evelyn Felix, Evelyn Richard, and Evelyn Stuart.
