The Cohen Family:
Fred and Molly Cohen live on the coast of Maryland. They have 3-year-old twin girls named Tallulah Birgit & Saoirse Michal. They are expecting another child, and they don't know yet if it is a boy or a girl. If it is a girl, they want her first name to be something from American history or literature that sort of "fits" with their daughters' names, and they want her middle name to be some form of "Mary," as long as it's not Molly. If their baby is a boy they want the first name to be Jewish/Hebrew or Irish, but they want to steer away from trendy or common names. The boy's middle name will be Frederick.
The Dunn Family
Michael and Carrie Dunn are expecting their first child. They don't know if it is a boy or a girl. Either way, they want something unique that has historical/mythological/literary significance. They are a little worried, though, because they live in conservative Kansas and they don't want something so out there that the child will be made fun of, labelled, etc. For the middle name, they want to honor one of Michael's or Carrie's grandparents in some way, and their names are (maiden names in parentheses):
Anthony Solomon Kreger - Michael's maternal grandfather
Beth Lorena (Whitman) Kreger - Michael's maternal grandmother
Alice Neva (Vernon) Dunn - Michael's paternal grandmother
Gary Harmon Dunn - Michael's paternal grandfather
Coral Celeste (Berg) Norman - Carrie's paternal grandmother
Everett Gerald Norman - Carrie's paternal grandfather
Lucille Olivie (Comtois) Hermann - Carrie's maternal grandmother
