Dear Beulah and Harry,
We have found 3 children for you to adopt. Their names are Iskra Todorka, Nevena Yuliana, and Zhivko Ivailo. The kids are siblings from Bulgaria. Their father was killed several years ago in a train accident. Their mother died about a year and a half ago from skin cancer. The kids are very happy to be adopted together.
Iskra is the oldest. She is sixteen years old. Iskra likes cooking and cleaning, and general homekeeping activities. She is skilled at sewing and watches over her younger siblings. Iskra is at about a fifth grade schooling level, though she is definitely bright enough to learn more. She speaks some English, but should take special English classes to help her along.
Nevena is the middle child. She is fourteen years old. Nevena is mature for her age, and very sensible. She likes to read, write, and compose flute music. She has been playing the flute since the age of nine and is very gifted. Nevena is also at about a fifth grade schooling level. She likes learning, but doesn't test very well.
Zhivko is the youngest. He is thirteen years old. Zhivko likes to make mischief and push peoples buttons. Zhivko is about a fourth grade schooling level. He would like to go to school so he can play competitive sports like soccer and baseball. Zhivko has a lot of excess energy that he could get rid of if he played sports.

Dear Adoption Agency,
Iskra, Nevena and Zhivko are fitting in very well.
Iskra is a great help. As she decided that she would rather just go to English classes at niight instead of mainstream schooling, Iskra has been helping by cleaning, cooking meals and getting Nevena and Zhivko ready for school. She is currently working hard to get a grasp on the English language, and we can definitely see improvement!
Nevena learnt English within the first month of being here, as she is very determined to master life away from Bulgaria. She is doing very well at our local school and her teachers are all giving her great marks for a student that has just come from another country. She is still playing the flute and was recently asked to perform at a big night for music in our town, and she is very excited about it.
Zhivko has been having a hard time at school. He refuses to study his English and therefore cannot do any of his work. We have recently persuaded him to let Nevena teach him English and he is starting to get better at it. He is very good at sports, particularly soccer and rugby. His week is full of sport, which is helping him get used to life away from Bulgaria.

Thank you so much for our two daughters. They have been such a wonderful addition to our family, now I cannot imagine life without their smiles and coos.
Dunja is doing fabulously. She is so sweet, and she takes very good care of Zora. She is girly, but she has a little bit of a tomboy side at times. She is adapting to the different culture and language very well, and she has already made friends with some of the neighbor kids.

Dear Hart Family,
We have found nine children that we think will fit right in with your family. Their names are Edvard Ingolf, Irene Dagrun, Edith Kaia, Karita Signy, and Thorstein Mikkel, from Norway; Nadia Josephine, from England; Carbrey Meallan and Doran Seoirse, from Ireland; and Kweku Awotwi, from Nigeria. The kids were all given away due to financial difficulties in their families. The kids are all healthy, and excited to be going to new homes.
Edvard, Irene, Edith, Karita, and Thor are seven year old quintuplets from Norway. Rather than have an abortion, their parents (who can only support one child at this time), chose to have the quints, then give them up for adoption. The first two and a half years old their lives were spent in and out of hospitals, adoption agencies, and foster homes. Now the quints are ready for a permanent home. Edvard is the oldest of the quints (by 4 minutes). "Eddy" likes to take charge and give orders. Irene is calm and cool in all situations. She gets cranky when she's tired, but is otherwise a joyful girl to be around. Edith is silly. She likes to have fun and help others join in. Edith is the master of jokes, and she likes practical jokes as well. Karita is very logical and methodical. She has a very literal mind and has trouble with abstract thought. Karita likes science experiments and playing with her siblings. Thor likes to be the center of attention. He has a bright young mind. Thor is probably the most knowledgeable of the quints and he has a great memory.

Dear Newton Family,
We have found six children from Greece for you. Their names are Glykeria Agathe, Spiridon Efstathios, Elene Anastasia, Aniketos Yannis, Vlassis Paraskevas, and Petra Despoina. Glykeria and Spiridon are siblings. Elene, Aniketos, Vlassis, and Petra are also siblings. They are very anxious to meet you all, and Spiridon is especially glad that he can bring his cat, Takis, with him.
Glykeria, or Kerry, is a twelve year old girl. Her brother is Spiridon. Kerry is severely allergic to nuts, and is very careful about carrying antibiotic with her at all times and making sure people know she is allergic. Other than her nut allergy, Kerry is a normal girl. She likes sports, school, and hanging out with friends. Her favorite sport is soccer.
Spiridon, or Donny, is an eleven year old boy. His sister is Glykeria. Donny takes good care of his big sister and doesn't like to go anywhere without her. Donny has a cat named Takis. Takis is about the same age as Donny is. Donny likes playing football. He absolutely hates shopping, but likes to eat out at restaurants. Donny does well in school and he tries very hard to get good grades.
Elene is a ten year old girl. Her siblings are Aniketos, Vlassis, and Petra. Elene's parents died in a car accident two years ago. Since then, she has been trying to provide for her siblings by working for a cloth merchant. The adoption agency removed the children from their situation last spring and put them up for adoption. Elene is a sweet girl who would do anything for her siblings. She speaks English well because of her work in the shop.
Aniketos, or Anni, is a nine year old boy. His siblings are Elene, Vlassis, and Petra. Anni is very smart and sold fruit to try and help support his siblings. Anni likes to cause trouble, and sometimes needs to be reminded that he's only nine and can't do whatever he wants.
Vlassis, or Sis, is a five year old boy. His siblings are Elene, Aniketos, and Petra. Sis is a good-natured boy, and he is quite obedient for a boy his age. He's ready to start Kindergarten, and can't wait to start making friends. He tends to be on the quiet side and is afraid of strangers.

Shamira is such a pleasant and polite little girl. It is so nice to have a little girl around again. She started preschool 2 weeks ago and is doing great. Her teachers have told us she is quite gifted for a 4 year old.
Otto is doing well. He has been chasing girls since he got here lol. He has started taking art classes at the local art gallery and is hoping that he will be good enough to make a living from his art one day.
Tina and Marco have become very close friends and he adores Kai. They are often teased about being in love but they don't feel that way about each other, they are just friends. We thought that before we do therapy or counseling we would just let her hang out. It is difficult to stay upset about anything in our house! She is now much better. Nazar is also doing great. The kids are all very anxious to be part of a family, since most of them have been orphaned for a long time.
Bibiana (age 16) and her son Eligio (4 months) are from a poor village in Guatemala. When Bibiana's parents found out that she was going to have a baby, they disowned her. Bibiana was put into a women's home until she gave birth to Eligio. Now she is ready to put the past behind her and start a new life with a new family. Bibiana had eight younger siblings and four older ones, so she is no stranger to large families. She is good at keeping the peace between siblings. Bibiana has no formal schooling, but would like it if you would help her get a job possibly watching children. Eligio is an adorable little boy, still very dependent on Bibiana.
Fihr is an eleven year old boy from Saudi Arabia. He and his parents were vacationing in the Middle East when a roadside bomb killed his parents and left Fihr with severe burns. Although the burns have now healed, Fihr struggles with depression and grief due to the sudden deaths of his parents. Fihr would like to live a normal life. He knows some English, and will gladly learn more. To help Fihr deal with his depression, the orphanage gave him a Pharaoh Hound, whom he named Rafiqa.

We decided to send Bibiana to a nearby school for kids just like her- teen parents. We put her in a program for kids from other countries. She is enjoying it and a very quick learner, and will be put into a regular 9th grade class soon (even though the other 16 year olds are in 10th and 11th grade). She quickly made friends with other girls and boys from other Spanish speaking countries. Bibiana and Abigail have become very close, and Eligio and Basma's son Fihr and Alexandros have become friends. Bibiana, Abigail nad Basma all go to the same school.
When Fihr met the rest of the family he was happy to be with other kids around his age, who are all about helping him (and of course the others too). Terry and Koray are glued to his side. Fihr is in the same school as the rest of the kids, but is in some ESOL (English as a second language) classes.
Nomiki and Sofia are also doing well. Sofie is attending school with Bibi, although they are not at the same level quite yet, as Sofia already had education in the past, but only didnt know English.

Bruno is the eldest, at age 14. Bruno doesn't say much, but takes excellent care of his younger siblings. Bruno knows some English, and is willing to work hard at learning more.
Eckhard is the second-in-command. He is twelve years old. Eckhard is very clever, but likes to get into mischief. The only one he really listens to is Bruno. Eckhard knows more English than Bruno and is very adept at communicating in either English or German. Rafael is officially his dog, but he shares with his siblings.
Flora is the oldest girl. She is ten years old. Flora has an allergy to strawberries and it is suggested that strawberries and related products be removed from her diet. Flora likes painting. She also enjoys singing and writing. Flora knows only a small bit of English and relys on her older brothers for almost everything.
Nathalie is the baby. She is nine years old. Nathalie is very protective of her older sister and can be a bit on the scrappy side. She likes sports and running around.
