Surname: Piquet
DH: Thomas Rowan
DW: Tat'ána Gabriela
Current Children:
Oliver Sven (adopted), age 7
Lumine Rivka (adopted), age 6
Elijah Mikhail "Eli", age 3 1/2
Gabriel Isaiah, age 3 1/2
Will you adopt...
Sibs: yes
Twins: yes
Triplets: if you really want to
Quads: nah
More than quads: nah
How many children would you like to adopt: (max 5) one, maybe two
Preffered gender(s): either
Preffered Countries: none. Tat'ána is adopted from Czech Republic with French/American parents. Thomas is American. Oliver is American as well, and Lumine is from Israel, so we're pretty much cool with anything. The Orient would be nice, epecially for a girl.
Preffered Ages: 1-5
Will you accept...
Children with disablities? If so what kind and how severe: Yes. I am a 5th grade sign language teacher, and Thomas teaches young blind children to read Braille. We can deal with a wheelchair, missing limbs, lack of a sense, really any physical disabilities at all. Emotional disabilities are good too, but we'd like to avoid any severe mental ones.

Congrats Piquet family!
You have been blessed with adorable twin girls from Japan!
Ayaka and Sakura are loving little girls in their fifth year. Their parents simply couln't afford to keep them. They already had three boys and two girls. So they put them up for adoption. They have been living in various foster homes for as long as they can remember. We have had a difficult time finding homes for them for Ayaka is Blind and Deaf and Sakura was born with no leg under her left knee. Sakura is the only one who can communicate with Ayaka. They invented some sort of a language with facial expressions and signs when they were little. We hope they fit in with your family! We highly reccomend giving them American middle names and PLEASE tell us how they are doing!

Thank you, quigonjecca, for our two beautiful daughters! They are getting along wonderfully with our family. I (Taťána) have been teaching Ayaka to sign into our hands and Thomas has been teaching her Braille. She is very smart! My brother Šedák has a blind daughter as well, so they helped us with adjusting. They also "hooked us up" with a guide dog, Sentinel, whom Sakura and the twin boys call "Senny".
We have given Sakura an artificial leg (she chose to have it decorated in "Hello Kitty" designs). It is hard for her to walk, still; when we're going places that she will have to walk a lot, we have her in a wheelchair. She loves our cat, Rhys, and often wheels herself around with him purring in her lap.
Lumine, Ayaka, and Sakura especially get along well, but the boys love them as well. Oliver is very protective of them, and Eli and Gabriel have had fun letting Ayaka teach them bits of sign language. Having special need children has united our family, and we adore our two newest daughters. Thank you again, quigonjecca!
