Teagan has reddish gold hair but still looks like her sister due to her green eyes. Her name was Augustus's choice, so both names are poetry related. Teagan is Irish for "Little Poet" and the name Mireille was created by the poet Frederic Mistral. Teagan also reflects Rosaleen's Irish roots.
Alex is thrilled to have a little sister but also to have a kind of big sister too. Rosaleen's youngest sister Dervla who is 18 has come to stay for 6 months on her gap year. She is interested in photography and so has come to photograph the beautiful scenery around the Quinn's home. She also adores poetry which means her and Augustus has lots to talk about. The girls wanted a pet however as Augustus has allergies it wasn't possible.
