Jesse succumbed to old age in 2012, buried in his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. Florence, now feeble and frail, moved in with her daughter Daphne and Clinton in New Jersey, both of them also retired and grandparents.
Rooster and Teresa's children all became parents, with Leonora moving to Miami with her husband, Stan, where she works as the head chef of a hotel, and Stan works as a building contractor.
Lucien and Brooke are content with one daughter, and Lucien renamed his cafe after her. Brooke, still a hipster at heart, works as a screenwriter for HBO.
Wallace and Ana Maria had 3 children, and moved to Santa Clarita, where Wallace works as a videographer for a local news station.
