So here we are, in Ireland! Or in county Limerick to be precise. Limerick has a fascinating past, stunning countryside and is overflowing with culture. If you had to choose one thing you definitely want to do/see here, what will it be?
1) Knockfierna (Hill of Fairies)
- A walk through the Irish country side. From mysterious shadow men to fairies and druids, Knockfierna Hill has a mystique about it. Unfortunately it has also seen the Great Famine and along the way you will come across it’s memorials-
2) King John’s Castle
-From the castle’s interactive exhibition and magnificent views, to trying your skills at the series of medieval courtyard game—
3) Lough Gur Heritage Centre
-An amazing archaeological site where people have lived for over 6,000 years-
4) Irish Pub
-Have a beer or Irish whisky and what about banger and mash or colcannon to eat? Not to forget live music-
5) Thomond Park Stadium
-Enjoy a Munster rugby game-
6) River Shannon
- Hire a boat and enjoy the Irish countryside from the water and the river that inspired the works of James Joyce-
