Hugh and Mabel's marriage is a bit rocky. She likes to go out and take part in High Society. He would rather be at home in Cranbourne Park. This year they decided to forgo the London season, since Hugh wanted to be at Cranbourne and Mabel was having the baby in early May. They had a hard time deciding on a name. Mabel picked the first name while Hugh picked the middles. The second middle name is a feminine form of George after George V, who became King four years earlier!* Two months later, they are having a house party including a costume ball where our couple will be Oberon and Titania. Mabel was hoping for a gay time, but the talk keeps getting serious about what's going on in the world.

During their senior year, Ennis brought Beth to a lecture at their school. The guest lecturer was a Frenchman, who was talking about political philosophy. Beth and he were able to talk and wrote long letters to each other when he went to visit another school. He proposed in his letters and Beth accepted. They were married about a month after graduation and went to Niagara Falls for a quick honeymoon. Her family, especially her parents, are upset, because they think the relationship is moving too fast! They're also worried about the daughter moving to her husband's home country, France.

Her middle name is a virtue name. Her maiden name is a free choice. Alice and George welcomed a son in December of 1913. The town officially established the library in 1913. Alice and George are busy, but sometimes they are able to find to read. They named their son in honor of a male character in one of the books they read. The book should have been published by 1913 and the character should be heroic in some way. (The middle name could also belong to the character (i.e. Romeo Montague), or be a "family name" from a family member. It could be a traditional for an unnamed character.)

I'm trying to decide if there should be two years between every or more years between rounds or not consistent year gaps. If you want, you could weigh in on this.
