Re: The Adoption Agency/Foster Care Agency

You have adopted 1 child: One girl. She is 6 years old, and her name is Kalpana Sonam Anand. She is from India. She was paralyzed from the waist down in an accident, so she uses a wheelchair. Kalpana loves sports, though there are some that she's not able to do. She does really like basketball, and even softball, but she wants to be a cheerleader or a marching band twirler. There are lots of things she likes overall, and she has a big imagination.
I hope that you enjoy keeping this child, and please keep me updated!

Thank you so much! We have enthusiastically welcomed Kalpana into our home. We made sure to make the house wheelchair-accessible before she arrived, and one of Iris' colleagues who uses a wheelchair checked to make sure everything would work right. We've enrolled Kalpana in a local basketball team for disabled children. We also introduced her to her aunt, Erin Moody, who was captain of the color guard throughout highschool and college. Kalpana's loved watching her videos and talking to her. Though the idea of three parents was a bit odd to her at first, Kalpana has fit in very well in our family. Thank you so much for helping us find our daughter!
