Arthur Aibing Fontenot (25) is Marcella’s chess teacher. He is half Cajun and half Chinese-American, and speaks French and English. He is in the process of learning Mandarin, as well. Arthur has played chess his entire life, having been taught as soon as possible by his grandfather. He was the captain of the chess club in college, and started giving out lessons then to earn some extra cash doing what he loves. He takes on one student at a time, in order to give them the best education possible. So far, Arthur has been very impressed with Marcella’s chess skills.
Next up: Arthur’s roommate (and chess partner!)
