Sam is a pastry chef who grew up in a small town near the sea in Devon. He owns a bakery that is well known for it's pies. Frida was on holiday when she stopped to buy one of Sam's famous peach-blackberry pies, and they fell for each other quickly. Frida moved to Devon and married Sam as soon as she finished her doctorate, and now she is teaching English literature at the local university. They live in a cottage with a large garden, and they hope to fill it with children soon.

The university was understaffed, so Frida has started teaching creative writing along with English literature. She enjoys the new challenge and likes working with her students in a more creative capacity.

The Lewis family went on vacation to the States! They are rented a trailer and took an all-American cross country road trip along Route 66. Sam found lots of inspiration for new pie recipes from all the different food scenes they encountered, and the family enjoyed seeing the diverse people and landscapes that America had to offer.

Frida has been promoted to dean of academics at her university! She still teaches part-time because she enjoys it too much to quit, but she also enjoys the new responsibilities. Sam is very proud of her, and while the children don't really understand her new position they know their mother has an important job and are proud in their own way.

Sam's mother sadly passed away at the age of 75 after a long battle with cancer. Sam is grieving, but he takes comfort in his family, especially little 4-year-old Beatrix, who is named after his mother.

The Lewis family had a scare when little 2-year-old Isaac came down with a serious case of scarlet fever. He developed complications in his lungs and had to be hospitalized for several weeks. It was a very difficult and frightening time for the whole family, but Isaac eventually made a full recovery and is back home with his parents and siblings.

Beatrix has also started college, and is studying wildlife biology. Her boyfriend Finn is a performing arts major and sings folk music.

Gwen has graduated from college and Timothy and Seb were both accepted into medical school, so to celebrate the Lewis family went on vacation to Saint Lucia! One of Sam and Frida's friends let them use their beach house, and they spent the trip hiking through jungles and exploring the local culture.

A serious flu epidemic spreads across England. Fortunately, the Lewis family was unaffected. Timothy and Seb just started medical school, so while they didn't treat many patients themselves they had a firsthand look at what being a doctor will be like.

The Lewis family gathers together to celebrate the annual Spring Festival in their little Devon town! Sam and Frida are in charge of the stand where they sell Sam's famous pies to customers, Daniel and Gwen enjoy showing the sights to little Iris, Timothy and Seb take advantage of the break from school to spend some quality time together, Bea and Finn are celebrating their college graduations, and Isaac and Maeve have just graduated high school. Isaac is planning to study archaeology, and Maeve wants to study pre-law.

Sam and Frida decide to get a horse! Maeve and Isaac are both interested in riding, and they adopted a black gelding named Bucephalus from a friend who was moving abroad. They call him Boo for short, and the children love the work that comes with taking care of a horse. In other news, Daniel has graduated college and is working as a mechanical engineer for a local construction company.

Gwen has graduated from college and Timothy and Seb were both accepted into medical school, so to celebrate the Lewis family went on vacation to Saint Lucia! One of Sam and Frida's friends let them use their beach house, and they spent the trip hiking through jungles and exploring the local culture.

A serious flu epidemic spreads across England. Fortunately, the Lewis family was unaffected. Timothy and Seb just started medical school, so while they didn't treat many patients themselves they had a firsthand look at what being a doctor will be like.

The Lewis family gathers together to celebrate the annual Spring Festival in their little Devon town! Sam and Frida are in charge of the stand where they sell Sam's famous pies to customers, Daniel and Gwen enjoy showing the sights to little Iris, Timothy and Seb take advantage of the break from school to spend some quality time together, Bea and Finn are celebrating their college graduations, and Isaac and Maeve have just graduated high school. Isaac is planning to study archaeology, and Maeve wants to study pre-law.

Bea and Finn have gotten married! Finn proposed at the Spring Festival last year, and they had a small and intimate wedding in the forest behind Sam and Frida's house. Timothy and Seb have decided to hold off on marriage and kids until after they graduate from med school next year, and in the meantime they are sharing an apartment and have adopted a cockatoo, which they have named Elton.

Gwen got a major promotion at work! She's gone from being a research assistant to being the head of a research project in the astrophysics department at the local university. Daniel and Iris are proud of her and know that she worked hard for this. Also, Timothy and Seb have graduated from medical school and are preparing to begin their residencies.

Timothy and Seb finally got married! The Lewis family gathered at the beach for a beautiful seaside wedding. Daniel was best man for his twin brother, and 7-year-old Iris was an adorable flower girl. Timothy and Seb hope to buy a house and start a family soon.

Timothy and Seb adopted a baby girl! She was left at the hospital where they both work, and they knew they wanted to start a family and loved the little girl instantly. The Lewis family is thrilled to have another granddaughter, and Iris is happy to finally have a little cousin. Isaac has been dating his girlfriend Na'ima for a few months. She moved to England from Egypt and is studying psychology.
