Thanks to everyone who voted in round 3! We’re getting close to the end
Here’s are some quick stats from last round:
Boys:
In the Oliver/Oscar and Asher/Raphael match-ups there were some clear trends. Almost everyone who chose Oliver also chose Asher, and almost everyone who chose Oscar also chose Raphael. Only 4 out of 21 votes didn’t follow this pattern. I wonder why?
Girls:
Seems like the girls pairings were less evenly matched. The winners of each match-up had between 5 and 15 more votes than the losing names.
On to Round 4 – the semifinals
We re-introduce Henry and Elizabeth who had a free pass last round.
There are no more free passes and no more wildcards. Only the winning names move to R4.

Rory and Morgan are brothers, aged 12 and 15 respectively. Rory is short, red-headed, and freckled, while Morgan is conventionally handsome, with regular features, quite tall. Rory is sickly, but energetic, and idolises his older brother. When he's not busy coughing his lungs out, he enjoys climbing trees and getting into trouble. Morgan is quiet, but well-liked, intelligent and athletic. He has some sort of dark secret. Rory narrates the story in retrospect. It involves the dismantling of the childish lens through which he viewed his brother and the surrounding world, a humdrum town turned sour, some sort of child abuse, the brothers finding a plot relevant corpse, and Morgan meeting a dark fate (not necessarily death).

Rory is a day student, but Morgan boards because her parents are abroad a lot for work; Morgan is part of a friendship group of brainy, studious, book-loving girls like her, while Rory hangs out with the popular, sporty boys; they don't have much in common and don't really notice each other.
Until they are partnered in chemistry class and end up doing an experiment that goes devastatingly wrong. Can the two teenagers put aside their differences and work together to save the world? Or will nothing ever be the same again?
This book is a journey: of adventure, of rescue, of mortal peril, and of friendship and finding out who you truly are. Rory and Morgan know that there's nothing but them, their brains and their guts when death is right around the corner. Let's go!

Their story is part slow-burn friends to lovers romance, but also family themed as Rory continuously adopts new people into the group. They usually help solve other people's problems (Rory gains their trust and Morgan does the "brainy stuff") and then... maybe their knack for alliance-building pays off when Morgan gets into some kind of trouble and Rory's charm isn't enough on its own to get her out of it.
(so basically a really bad tropey YA book???)
