Becky was abandoned by her mother when she was only 2 at our orphanage. We've struggled to find the right family for her but we think you will be great! Becky is friendly and kind and extremely good at sharing. She needs a big confidence boost and she needs to know she is special. She has spent a long, long time being shunted from care home, to foster home and back. Its important for her to be part of a warm and loving family. Becky loves dancing and hopes to be able to continue classes when she lives with your family. She also hopes that Emmy will like her as she has dreamed for years of having a big sister!

The twins are both very shy. They were raised by their abusive father until they were 6 and we believe that he often beat them. Social services took them away from him when Reagan was brought to hospital with cracked ribs and a fractured skull. Luckily neither girl suffers lasting physical damage. They have also been through a lot of councelling and the councellor believes that the next step should be placement is a family. They've made great progress and we're really proud of them. They're growing into well-mannered and oppinionated young woman. They need a lot of love and attenion.

Anna is a sweet little girl. She is loving and kind. Anna is a loves swimming and attends lessons. She'd like to continue them if possible. She also can't wait to have a big brother and big sisters!

He was orphaned at birth when the doctors had to deliver him in an emergency C-section, 4 months early. Tragically both his mother and father died in the accident. However Joseph is developing normally. He's ever so slightly smaller than other boys his age but he is a great little boy. He really needs a family to be apart of for life.

Quinn and Julie have Joseph and Katie

Joseph and Katie both were welcomed into the Tabor-Lansky home with great cheer. Julie and Joseph have bonded very quickly--Quinn teasingly calls them the double-J's! :) Because Julie is a decently accomplished pianist and singer, she and Joseph have been having a lot of sing-alongs. Quinn loves to join in, but her voice isn't quite so good (but the J's don't notice--or pretend not to). They've also been taking a lot of trips to the playground, which Jojo (as Joseph often gets called) has enjoyed greatly. He's currently embroiled in a battle against the jump-rope--because his moms are good at skipping rope, he wants to be, too, but it's hard for him. Julie and Quinn have yet to decide whether or not they will enroll him in preschool; because both work flexible hours, they're hoping that he can stay home until kindergarten.
Julie and Quinn changed Katie's name at the time of her adoption--mostly because Julie had a long and torrid affair with a Katie before she met Quinn. Wouldn't have been the best name for their little daughter! She's now Ivy Anne Tabor-Lansky; they tried to pick a name that would be short and easy for her to say. Natasha Roza 15. Natasha was thrown out by her parents when they learned she was pregnant. She believes that it was best for her as they never got on well and her father sometimes beat her. They wanted her to have an abortion but she refused. She's very opinionated and strong-minded. Also very intelligent. She's determined to help look after her twin daughter Eva and Annie. She loves art and has a talent for music, especially playing the piano.
Eva Lena and Anna Sasha 2 months
Eva and Annie are still only very little but already they have little personalities developing. They're inseperable and cry whenever separated, mimick each others actions and both want to play with the same toy at the same time! Eva is the elder of the twins, who are identical and Annie is the younger. Annie is also deaf and Eva seems to be developing a protectivness over her even at such a young age. It would be helpful if both Trevor and Anna could attend sign language classes with Natasha. Your house will also have to be made safe for a deaf person (smoke detectors with lights instead of alarms, ect.)

Bart is a troubled little boy. He was living on the streets and arrested for pickpocketing when he was only 5. After he served a short sentence he was put into care. He won't speak about his expieriences on the street but we expect that he was living with a gang who would look after him in exchange for his takings. It is possible they offered him 'protection'. He needs real protection now and to be surrounded by a loving family. Its also important for him to have one-on-ones with his parents. Despite his troubled past he's a lovely little boy and doesn't want anything bad to happen to anyone else. He enjoys playing sports and is a talented footballer.

Dear Briar Lane Adoption Agency;
It has been six months since we adopted five children from the Agency. They are adjusting slowly but surely.
Natasha (now sixteen) is a surprisingly good mother to her twin girls. We find that she has more in common with new moms and mothers of pre-schoolers than teens her age with no children. Natasha cares very much for her girls. Currently, she has a tutor and next year she will enroll in the community college and get a bachelors degree in accounting. Natasha has also been taking music lessons and is doing great with them.

Eva is very protective of Annie and becomes angry if the two become separated. Annie is coping with her deafness very well. We just finished installing warning lights that flash when someone rings the doorbell or when the phone rings. Annie is already noticing them and she likes pointing to the lights.
Bart has had the worst time adjusting. He is disruptive in class and has a very short attention span. We are contemplating schooling Bart at home until he matures a little bit. Trevor takes Bart out once a week for 'guy time'. I think Bart will be fine in another few months.
Kammy (Kamila) still keeps in contact with her father through letters. We would like to have her here for another year or two before we allow her father to visit. However, they talk on the phone frequently. Kammy loves to tell jokes and is the class clown in her preschool class.

Iona Michelle 8
Iona is Kirsty and Catrina's big sister. She's looked after them ever since their mum dies giving birth to Catrina. She's very head-strong and a bit of a tomboy and at first glimpse seems to be a very happy and healthy child. However she seems to have trouble trusting and opening up to people. It may be necessary for her to attend counselling. Also it would be good if she could find an activity to do like dancing or swimming, so that she could have a moment of being a little girl. Kirsty is such a little sweetie! She's polite, charming and very shy. However this doesn't seem to be a major obstacle and she opens up to close friends. She really needs a warm and loving family: something she has forgotten. She loves her teddybear Pinky (and also the colour pink!!!)
Iona is Kirsty and Catrina's big sister. She's looked after them ever since their mum dies giving birth to Catrina. She's very head-strong and a bit of a tomboy and at first glimpse seems to be a very happy and healthy child. However she seems to have trouble trusting and opening up to people.
