Saphir's Renaissance KUY Congrats - Round 2
Round 1: http://www.behindthename.com/bb/game/50162125 years have passed, making the year 1405.
Dice: http://www.brockjones.com/dieroller/dice.htmFirst, roll d4 for any existing relationships - if you roll a 1, the couple is no longer together, due to death or divorce. Roll d10 for everyone over the age of 60, or under the age of 10 - a roll of 8-10 means that that person has unfortunately passed away. Now, roll d10 for everyone over the age of 14 who is single:
If they are aged 15 to 18, a roll from 7-10 is an engagement (but not one which can produce children.)
If they are aged 19 to 25, a roll from 5-6 is an engagement, and 7-10 is a marriage.
If they are aged 26+, a roll from 3-5 is an engagement, and 6-10 is a marriage.Roll d20 for children:
For a potential mother aged 18-23: 1-10 is no children, 11-15 is 1 child, 16-20 is 2 children
For a potential mother aged 24-34: 1-5 is no children, 6-8 is 1 child, 9-14 is 2 children, 15-20 is 3 children
For a potential mother aged 35-45: 1-10 is no children, 11-15 is 1 child, 16-20 is 2 children
You can role for children only for your main couple, or for other family members as well.Optionally, roll d10 for events:
1 - A plague hits the city, meaning no one can enter or leave until it is over.
2 - An alliance is made with another family
3 - Your rivals somehow sabotage your business
4 - A member of the family is given a title such as Duke
5 - Your bank secures a deal with someone influential, such as the pope or a king
6 - The harvests fail, meaning food is scarce and many people starve
7 - Your family gives their patronage to a talented young artist
8 - You receive a marriage offer from a royal or ducal family
9 - Your bank loses an important customer
10 - War breaks out between two city statesNamebanks:Ciaio Marzio Remo Alfonso Ercole Giacommo Lorenzo Galeazzo Filippo Paolo Giordano Virginio Ferdinando Garzia Bernardo Antonio Pietro Ippolito Borso Foresto Cesare Carlo Bonifazio Rinaldo Obizzo Tedaldo Alderano Innocenzo Guidobaldo GiulioAmbra Lizia Romina Agnese Clarice Corelia Francesca Flavia Bartolomea Cecilia Lucia Anastasia Girolama Vittoria Costanza Clelia Virginia Isabella Lavinia Eleonora Anna Valentina Ricciarda Bianca Caterina Maria Marfisa Bradamente Laura IppolitaAbalardi Magnano Basalini Poliziano Gauci Navarra Zanelli Pegoretti Sciorra Talenti Tozzi Ciaravella Ferrario Coscio IngraoStill und geborgen, frei ohne Sorgenhttp://www.behindthename.com/pnl/185597

DH: Antonio Giovanni Vercesi
DW: Caterina Lucrezia Vercesi (née Meoni)DS: Antonio Giovanni, II
-DFiancée: Lucia Clarice Zanelli——————————————The Vercesi bank has a variety of customers. Those customers vary from commoners to nobles - and, unfortunately, one such well-bred customer was lured away by a larger bank known as the Coscio bank. It seems that the Vercesis have acquired a new rival. On the brighter side of things, though, the respectable Zanelli family has offered an engagement between their daughter Lucia and Antonio, which has been graciously accepted.

Tragedy and fortune have struck the Morra family these past five years. Two years ago, Taddeo and Piero’s younger daughter Maddalena was killed by a horse and cart when she ran back into the street after she dropped her poppet while the family was crossing. They were all traumatized and the couple was overtaken with grief. They’ve just begun to think about enlarging their family again. Life is also moving on for Taddeo’s mother. Widowed five years ago, Giulietta has formed a friendship with Alderano, a bachelor of her age, who has just asked her if she would like to spend their remaining years together. She agreed, not expecting to become happily married again. This is also a boon for the Morras financially, as Alderano has influence with the king and helped Taddeo’s bank secure a deal with the ruler which should prove quite lucrative in the years to come.

Venice, as a jewel of Western culture, has often considered itself apart from everyone else. Even the emerging creative wellsprings of Florence and Turin had Venice thumbing its nose, resting comfortably amid its lagoons, the canals weaving sapphire water throughout in a crystalline web under the dazzling sun. This isolation born of arrogance and conceit came to an end, however, like all good things: the plague reemerged. Trade with the East was halted, and the city quarantined. People lived in fear - a pair could walk down the street only for one to fall into the canals, dead, without warning. The constant change made the citizens feel as though their newfound peace was being ripped away, but they had no tangible person at whom to direct their anger. It wasn't as if they were about to shout at God.Maria, Lorenzo's wife and the mother of his four children, was extremely apprehensive. For the first years of the outbreak they had assiduously avoided conception, but eventually she became pregnant once more and feared for both her life and that of their unborn child. When they had married, Lorenzo had heard much court gossip (that he knew he was supposed to hear) that Maria's constitution was delicate and unsuitable for wifely and motherly duties. But as was characteristic of her city, Maria had thumbed her nose at the speculation, and soon her upstart husband had followed suit. So far, they had proven everyone wrong, with Maria becoming a mother of four healthy children. But there was a plague now. It had even claimed apothecaries and doctors of physic. She was now vulnerable. What if she perished along with the bambino, or brought the plague into their home? What then?

The past five years have been busy, and filled with children: Tommaso and Filippa have, in between forging an alliance with the Basalini family of Venice, found the time to have another 3, as have Niccolaio and Simona. This brings the total number of children in the house to 12, meaning that life is always chaotic, and no one is ever short of playmates. Nico and Alessandro in particular have formed a strong bond; Nico is hot-headed and reckless, always full of energy and plans, while Alessandro is a clever boy, and can always think of ways to improve Nico's ideas. They often join forces with Isabetta, who is as mischievous as a child can be, to bring further chaos upon the household - however, no one can ever bring themselves to scold Isabetta, whose pretty manners and big eyes can sway even the most cold-hearted of adults. No one adores Isabetta - or any of the children - more than Niccolaio. Tommaso is often away on business, and even when he is back, he can be slightly distant or cold towards his children, despite his best efforts to create a close family like his was. Niccolaio, on the other hand, has grown into the role of father and uncle, leaving his party-going days behind him.
