HelpSapphire's Harry Potter Congrats Sign-Ups (Let's start again!)
Guys, I am so so so sorry I didn't continue with the Harry Potter game! My life suddenly went mad and I had literally no time to breathe never mind do this! It's all kind of quietened down again now, so I decided to do this again. Below you will find exactly the same post as before, as I figured that you all would probably have forgotten what you did last time. Basically, each round I'm going to give you a load of questions, and by answering them, you'll create a wizarding family! It will be personalised, so you will never miss out starting Hogwarts or taking O.W.L.S. By the way, this will be 15 rounds long. You will need dice, so: http://www.roll-dice-online.com. Have fun!
We will start by creating the parents of our family. Their first and middle names will be from the Harry Potter character list here: https://www.behindthename.com/namesakes/list/harry-potter/alpha, and their surname and the mother's maiden name will be from the list below:
Brown, Patil, Granger, Midgen, Dunbar, Potter, Weasley, Longbottom, Thomas, Finnigan.
Now we have their names, let's find out what the parents looks like. For this, you will need a 6 sided dice. How about we start with the eye colour?
1: Brown
2: Blue
3: Green
4: Hazel
5: Violet/Grey
6: Other (you choose)
There we are, now let's get the hair sorted. Once again, a 6 sided dice.
1 - 2: Wavy
3 - 4: Curly
5 - 6: Straight
1 - 2: Blonde
3 - 4: Brown
5 - 6: Ginger
Wonderful! Now let's find out where the couple work. For this, you will need a 12 sided dice.
1: Wandmaker
2: Auror
3: Shop owner
4: Curse breaker
5: Unspeakable in Department of Mysteries
6: Healer (can be in the hospital wing at Hogwarts)
7: Quidditch player/coach/commentator/reporter
8: Editor/journalist
9: Professor at Hogwarts
10: Ministry worker
11: Obliviator
12: Potioneer (can be Potions Professor at Hogwarts)
Right, that was quite important. Now let's move on to their special abilities. We're not going to use a dice for this. Just answer the questions for the father, then the questions below for the mother.
FATHER:
Do you think you look good?
Yes: Not a metamorphmagus
No: A metamorphmagus
If the father is a metamorphmagus, skip to the mother. If not, continue.
Would you rather die in 1 hour OR be immortal forever?
Die in 1 hour: Not a parselmouth
Be immortal forever: A parselmouth
If the father is a parselmouth, skip to the mother. If not, continue.
Do you think you would enjoy Divination?
No: Not a Seer
Yes: A Seer
If the father is not a seer, they are a normal wizard. If the father is a seer, then he can teach Divination at Hogwarts instead of his original career if you would like him to.
MOTHER
Would could you most easily give up?
Your most loved one: Not a metamorphmagus
Your home: A metamorphmagus
If the mother is a metamorphmagus, skip to the next part. If not, continue.
Would you rather be a Gryffindor or a Slytherin?
Gryffindor: Not a parselmouth
Slytherin: A parselmouth
If the mother is a parselmouth, skip to the next part. If not, continue.
Do you believe that teleportation really could happen?
No: Not a Seer
Yes: A Seer
If the mother is not a seer, they are a normal witch. If the mother is a seer, then she can teach Divination at Hogwarts instead of her original career if you would like her to.
That's all over now, time to find out what houses the parents are in. Let's start with he father. Think of a number between 10 and 34. Half it. Half it again. And half it one more time. Now round it to the nearest whole number. You should have a number between 1 and 4, yes? Now, 1 is Gryffindor, 2 is Hufflepuff, 3 is Ravenclaw and 4 is Slytherin. We have sorted the father. But the mother. Who is your favourite Harry Potter villain?
Voldemort - Slytherin
Malfoy - Ravenclaw
Umbridge - Hufflepuff
Lestrange - Gryffindor
Done! All we have left is the location of where the couple live. We'll need a 12 sided dice again for that.
