Kyla met Travis through an online dating service. She had been looking for a funny, charming guy from her area, and Travis had been one of her matches. Kyla and Travis corresponded through email for six months before finally meeting in person, and it was love at first sight for both of them, despite the five-year age gap. They had a small beachside wedding the following year and honeymooned in Venice.

Luckily, they can afford it since Travis makes a decent amount of money working as a physician.

The Rains’ have become the adoptive parents of three siblings from Israel! The sibling set consists of a four-year-old boy named Connor, a two-year-old girl named Jasmine, and a six-month-old girl named Elizabeth. They had been victims of child abuse, and the adoption process went quite smoothly for Kyla and Travis. The girls were the ones affected most by the ordeal; Jasmine spends most of her time quietly playing with the toys Kyla and Travis had bought for her and her siblings, and Lizzie is afraid of everything. Connor, on the other hand, is already getting used to his new life and can usually be seen playing catch with Travis.

As the year went by, Jasmine and Lizzie have finally come out of their shells, and they’re interacting a lot more with their adoptive parents than before.
Having kids in the house has given Kyla insane baby fever, so a month after the adoption was finalized, she and Travis tried for a baby of their own. Kyla couldn’t believe it when she found out she was pregnant, but it finally sunk in when her belly, carrying a baby boy, started to show. She gave birth to Zachary Bennett Rains at 39 weeks, and all three of his siblings adore him. Connor and Jasmine like to watch Kyla bathe Zack and rock him to sleep, and Lizzie gives him forehead kisses whenever she sees him.

Connor has taken an interest in sea life after watching “Finding Nemo”, so he’s been asking Kyla and Travis to buy her a fish as a pet. Since he’s only six, his parents were unsure that he’d be responsible enough, but ultimately agreed to take him to the pet store to pick out some fish. Connor immediately set his heart on two freshwater angelfish, one yellow and one pink; after a chat with the store employee about taking care of angelfish, Kyla and Travis bought the two fishes. Connor named the yellow one Sunny and the pink one Ariel.

During a trip to the pet store to get more fish food, Lizzie became intrigued by a black-and-white Polish bunny rabbit in one of the cages. She insisted on bringing it home, but Travis only allowed this if Lizzie would learn how to take care of a bunny. Lizzie gladly accepted the challenge, and Kyla suggested Hopper Lee for the name, since Harper Lee was one of her favorite authors.

The Rains’ second biological child has been born. It’s a girl, and her name is Naomi Alexis Rains. Jasmine picked the name, because these are two of her favorites. Naomi is a light sleeper just like Kyla; she’ll wake up for feedings every two or three hours; she also seems to favor Travis over Kyla.

Kyla and Travis have adopted again, this time from Australia. They’d heard about two boys, aged 3 and four months, who were abandoned in the middle of nowhere and needed a good home; the process took longer than the last one, but neither Kyla nor Travis cared, because they knew they’d be giving two children a second chance. Grayson and his baby brother Malachi, Kai for short, are doing very well, despite their abandonment. Grayson has even become best friends with Zack.

Since their family was bursting at the seams at their home, Kyla and Travis decided it was time for a change. They invested in a mansion in the next town over, which is completely within their budget. After a wild night of partying, Brandy found herself pregnant with Connor’s baby. The Rains’ have become the adoptive parents of three siblings from Israel! As the year went by, Jasmine and Lizzie have finally come out of their shells, and they’re interacting a lot more with their adoptive parents than before.
Having kids in the house has given Kyla insane baby fever, so a month after the adoption was finalized, she and Travis tried for a baby of their own. Dashiell split his head open while playing on the playground at school. He needed ten stitches, but his wound healed completely within two weeks.
