Please welcome Margaux Francine and Simon Emmett! Margaux is a 5 year old girl from Quebec and Simon is a 3 year old boy from the Northeastern United States.
Margaux's parents died when she was two in a boating accident, and she has been in state custody since then. She is shy and quiet around adults but enjoys playing with other children, especially imagination games where she can pretend to be a world famous ballerina - she loves dancing hopes to take dance lessons someday! She also loves being read to and particularly enjoys adventure stories.
Simon was placed for adoption at birth, and he has lived with several different foster families since then. He most recently was placed with a large family for a period of 8 months that was unfortunately found to be neglectful. His nutrition is getting back on track, but his speech skills are not as developed as they might be as a result of being left alone for long periods of time and having limited interaction with adults. He is a very playful child and he loves being outside and exploring.
Please let us know how Margaux and Simon are doing!

Margaux and Simon are settling well in our family.
Margaux and her big sister Indie are already inseparable. They both enjoy imagination games and often run around dressed as ballerinas. Margaux was in kiddie heaven when we brought her to her first dance class. Her teacher is amazed by the quick progress she is making in the short time she's attending the classes. She will have her first recital in two weeks and can't wait to show us what she learned. She is also doing well academically and is picking up the letters and numbers quickly. She loves when we read to her and lately has been trying to read some children books to her brother with ours and Indie's help.
Simon is our little snuggly boy. For the first weeks following the adoption he was very attached to us striving for physical contact and attention. Now that he is a little bit more secure he loves to spend time outside and explore the world. He adores his big sisters and they adore him in return. We've recently taken the kids for a hiking trip and he enjoyed exploring everything on our way. His speech skills are slowly but surely improving and he is becoming quite a chatterbox, he often runs to us in the morning with his favorite book and would spend hours snuggled to me or James and being read to.
