Thanks for all the replies guys. Great names all round and some of you were so close to (or even bang on) my actual family member's name that I'm a little suspicious... ;) However, it's not based on who gets the closest but I'll let you know at the end of the game the real names so you can see who amongst you is a little bit psychic!

DH: Matthew Lindsay Cook "Lindsay" (ishild)
DW: Charlotte Elizabeth Cook (née Graham) (Julia)
DD1: Hazel Margaret Cook (squareblouse)

Lindsay and Charlotte decided to have one last try for the son they've always wanted. But fate has a wicked sense of humour and so they have ended up with twin girls. DD3 & DD4's first names are both common biblical names. They're middle names are variant spellings of filler middle names.
Hazel was working as a secretary when she met a young co-worker, after some reluctance, she agreed to go on a date with him. They have recently married. Her husband's first and middle names are stuffy and old fashioned. His surname is an occupational name that ends in -er.
Hester and her husband, a young farmer, met at a village fête. His middle name is common in many countries and he goes by a short nickname. His middle name is biblical. His surname is Welsh.

Kitty and John met at university whilst studying French and History respectively. Kitty had previously been engaged to another man but things were quickly broken off when she met John. They have recently had a son.
