Re: LaRe's KUY Royal Congrats: Round 2
in reply to a message by La Reina
Monarch: Beatrice Antonia Estelle
Consort: Tarquin Alexius Tenley
Ward: Edmund Taggart
Princess: Theodora Rosalind Valeria
Of the illustrious Royal House of: Lyon
In the Kingdom of: Ybern
Tarquin has been forced to take up most of the royal duties during the latter part of Beatrice's pregnancy. It wasn't too jarring of a transition, as they tended to work together already. Things were even more hectic after the birth, as he wanted to be there for his growing family but also had to be there for the country. Even as little Theodora recovers, he insists Beatrice take some more time off to rest, which she does not mind doing. She plans to gradually ease back into activity in ruling.
There is some debate whether to declare Theodora the Crown Princess, or if should a son be born that he will be named heir. Beatrice supports her daughter as her heir, but the council has not yet made a decision, likely waiting to see if a male heir is born. The fact that the girl was sickly was also a concern, as they don't know if that will cause problems in the future. But they also don't know how well Beatrice will bear another child. Thus the declaration of the heir remains in limbo.
