In the Kingdom of: SerroniaSix months into their marriage, King Theo and Queen Sylvia were both very surprised when one of the servants informed them that someone was at the door with a boy, claiming that he was King Theo's son. Emilia Bold, claiming that she and then Prince Theo had had a relationship, was taken into custody. The three year old boy, Frederick Lawrence, was given to a governness to take care of. After six months of extensive deliberation and testimony, Emilia Bold passed away from an unknown ailment. The royal physicians conducted an autopsy and discovered many small masses in her body. After the autopsy, the royal court reported that Emilia was suffering from a fatal condition and that her appearance at the castle was a last ditch effort to make sure her son was taken care of.
King Theo and Queen Sylvia had been very quiet throughout the proceedings, but made a statement after Emilia Bold's death. They decreed that, although King Theo was not Frederick's father, he and Sylvia would raise him as a ward in the royal house. Since Theo was an only child, taking Frederick in as a ward means that, should anything happen to King Theo, Frederick will become king. Of course, there are those in Serronia who believe that only a blood heir of King Theo and Queen Sylvia can take the throne. King Theo does not yet have an answer for them.
