Four of the Harrington children are now in Hogwarts, and Prosper has graduated, heading into a quidditch career. He's also started dating a girl who had been in his year - a muggleborn. His parents have tried to be accepting, but there was an undeniable awkwardness the first time he brought her home. Meanwhile, Quin is going back to Hogwarts as the new Arithmancy professor. The reactions of the school aged children range from excited to mortified. Isolde is planning on plenty of trips to Hogsmeade with Opaline to visit with him during the schoolyear. As to the new scholars, Everild was sorted into Hufflepuff and Hallam threw everyone for a loop, landing in Gryffindor. He's already interested in following his eldest brother's footsteps into quidditch, but it will probably be a few years yet before he can hope to make it on the team. Since Prosper took Pluto with him when he graduated, the Harrington kids didn't have an owl at school, so Hallam got a long-eared owl as a pet. Everild opted for a Pygmy Puff from Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes.

Another choosing ceremony has come for the Cross family, and Tamar has elected to stay in the faction of her birth. Though her family says that they'd support whatever choice she made, they're relieved not to see another child go. She passed Dauntless initiation without much trouble, coming in at a decent rank. Since initiating, though, she's spent more time on her own away from the family (she and Elsie never had got on the best.) Meanwhile in Amity, Vivi is dating a fellow transfer who initiated with her, a boy that had come from Abnegation. The family has yet to meet him.

The Barton-McGuinness family got a surprise when Nadia decided to join the Hunters of Artemis at the age of eighteen, gaining immortality so long as she swears off boys and romance forever. Her decision was largely prompted by her disappointment in her godly father, who never took much part in their life - she chooses his twin sister over him. She is firm that she does not regret the decision, finding her new life with her 'sisters' and her wolf companion to be all she needs. Aiden and Lilac, meanwhile, have recently announced their engagement and Lilac's pregnancy - how closely the two are related is anyone's guess.
