You all are amazing! I’m really excited to see what happens to your couples!
A few housekeeping notes:
1. If you miss a round, no worries! I'll randomly assign you event picks for the next round.
2. The amount of detail you’ve given their lives is fantastic! I’m going to try to incorporate this into your life events when applicable. For example, if your life event involves a sibling and you’ve named all your siblings, your prompt might read, “Arnold’s brother Linus comes to live with you!” While a player who hasn’t named siblings and gets the same event will get, “A sibling comes to live with you!” Your couple’s circumstances will also affect whether round 1’s new addition is a surprise or planned child.
3. I'm American, so sometimes these prompts will be American-centric. Ex: You get a job out of state. If your couple isn't in the US, please adapt the prompt as you see fit!

The same day the Count of Monte Cristo musical opened was the same day the agency called Toussaint with the news. Between press and making last-minute preparations for their new addition, Jean-Benoit hardly had to time to breathe and both mens' heads were all a blur.
Her name was Sofia and she was five years old and from Estonia.
"We'll give her your last name. Mine is ridiculous," Toussaint suggested one evening. "Sofia Souliere has a nice ring to it anyway."
Jean-Benoit wasn't listening and Toussaint had to snap his fingers in front of the other's face for a second to get his attention.
"Do you think they'll be angry if I take a two week leave of absence the first month the show runs?" he asked before Toussaint could inquire where his mind was. "I mean, we've workshopped this thing and have done rehersal after rehersal and then it finally gets here and I take off to Estonia. Just worried it will be bad for press and the show."
"I think they'll understand, Jean-Benoit. The whole theatre knows we've been waiting for this." Toussaint was always the voice of reason between them. Jean-Benoit operated primarily on full-speed emotion (which worked well for theatre, but made the rest of his life a bit crazy).
Meeting Sofia was magical. She met them holding a drawing that she had made of the three of them in New York. It had tall buildings and three people standing beside the buildings and smiling. Toussaint and Jean-Benoit agreed it was the best family portrait they had ever been a part of.
Jean-Benoit and Toussaint didn't speak Estonian and Sofia didn't speak French, but collectively, they all spoke English quite fluently and conversed without a problem. The time in Estonia flew by and within no time, they were on a flight back home to New York City, Sofia sleeping against Toussaint and Toussaint trying not to melt from how wonderful and surreal it all felt. Jean-Benoit had that picture emailed and texted to everyone they knew before the plane ever landed.

Abbey and Jack were very strong before, throwing a baby into the mix has shaken their relationship a little - especially after Tobias's traumatic arrival - however they are determined to remain focused and stable for their son. Abbey is sore and is struggling with motherhood slightly, while Tobias has fully recovered from the emergency C-section, and Jack is taking on a lot of the parental role - making studying hard and putting even more strain on the young couple's relationship.
Just before Abbey was due to give birth, Jack won a story writing competition with the prize fund being £5,000! The couple agreed to put some of the money towards Tobias's nursery and toys while the majority of it went towards paying Jack's parents back for the deposit on their house.

After calling the ambulance and arranging a place for little Arya to stay, Vesper delivered via C-section in the early morning. She didn't even have time to call Caspian until all was said and done. Truth be told, she doesn't even remember picking the name Gatsby, but she likes it now. Caspian was furious when he got back and the child was already named--they had contemplated using Casper as a combination of both of their names--but he couldn't stay mad for long. The little baby was adorable, and what's more, he had a son.
Ironically, while Vesper was still in the hospital, a local grocery store called to tell her she'd won a $5,000 shopping spree. Good thing too, with a new mouth to feed.

She loves her city friends and Damon's family, but it's incredibly comforting to see all the people who saw her grow up and those who grew up with her. When she goes to bed that night experiencing cramps, Franny figures it's because she had too much cake. At midnight she wakes up confused, wondering if she wet the bed. Her water's broken, and her contractions are coming quick. Franny's family rushes her to the hospital. They try to call Damon, but he's a heavy sleeper and doesn't answer until two hours after they've been admitted. He begs Franny to cross her legs and starts the four hour drive down state. But the labor's fast - a brisk five hours after she woke up, Franny gives birth to a girl, Hazel Gillian Horsfall.

Perhaps as a passive-aggressive act of rebellion against her strict parents, Kathleen turned Tucker down when he proposed to her, saying she didn't want to get married just because they were going to have a baby together. Unfortunately, not everything is a walk in the park. Throughout Kathleen's pregnancy, Tucker increasingly complained of stiff and inflamed joints, to the point where he had to cancel a few of his early morning yoga classes. This, coupled with a persistent nodule in the elbow, had him fearing the worst, and despite his healthy lifestyle, Tucker knew it was time to see a good doctor. It turned out he had developed rheumatoid arthritis, which, while not the optimal diagnosis, was still miles better than the cancer Tucker had thought he had.
Tucker is now taking anti-inflammatory and antirheumatic drugs, and he knows they'll be his best friends for life. According to the doctor, he should continue to do yoga to help with overall mobility and physical function, so now that the pain and stiffness are well-managed, he has gone back to work with no limitations. Due to his illness, Tucker feels grateful for every dirty nappy he has to change, because it it means he still has the motor ability to do so.

Damien also admits that he wouldn't feel comfortable accepting that sum of money from his great aunt. They make it up to Hortensia by taking her out to lunch, and discussing other baby matters with her. By the end of the meal, Hortensia has decided that if she can't pass her name on, she can give the child another gift. She begins planning a baby blanket, unbeknownst to Linnea and Damien.
When Rosalie Juliet is born, her parents are presented with the beautiful blanket, and Hortensia is the first to hold her, besides the baby's parents.
Shortly after Rosalie's birth, Damien is offered an incredible opportunity. A hotel in Cornwall has recently come onto the market, and the owners were family friends. They are giving Damien the first chance, at a very reduced price. The only issue is that the family will have to move from Cambridge to get there. Though Linnea is hesitant about the idea, she agrees, as all of the children are young enough to have not started school. It takes a long weekend of traveling and unpacking, but the hotel is beautiful, and has the kind of grounds and garden that Linnea has dreamed about. Even so, Linnea struggles, being so far away from a support network, and having young children to take care of. While Damien does his best to offer as much support as possible, there is a great deal of work to go into the hotel, and he feels that he has to prioritise the business, at least for now.

Although the last year of drama school is arguably the most crucial for a career, Freya talks to the adminstration and takes up the offer of continuing with her peers. She and Sam plan a small city hall wedding in central London, as opposed to the larger country gathering they had been planning, and get married over the Christmas holidays with their parents, grandparents, and several close friends and teachers. They prepare for a hectic spring, which becomes even more so with symptoms of placental abruption and an emergency c-section on March 31, about five weeks early. Fortunately, little Leon Geoffrey (after great-granddads Lionel and Geoffrey) weighs just a few ounces under normal and has a short (although terrifying for the parents) NICU stay. The Easter hols give the new family a chance to relax before finals and performances, and July brings with it graduation, Samuel's 23rd birthday, and an offer for Freya to film in the US for six months. However, since Sam has found work with a well known company, she turns down the chance to go home in favor of keeping her newly made little family in London. They baptize Leon in August, settle into a new flat, and Freya is comfortable with her choice, at least for now.

A week after their engagement, Giuliana became very sick. She thought she was coming down with the flu with all the vomiting she had been doing. It was when she discussed her symptoms with her friend Elsa, who had jokingly suggested that she probably was pregnant, that Giuliana raised her brow. To come to think of it, she didn't remember getting a visit from Aunt Flo the past month. She had been so busy with work that she completely lost track, and she'd be the first to admit she wasn't the best when it came to taking her BC pill on time. Panicked, Giuliana ran - almost literally - to the closest drug store and bought three packs of home pregnancy tests. One by one, each had a positive result. Giuliana was in shock. She called Aaron, who had been away for a game that weekend, and told him. They decided to wait until he returned that they could go to the doctor together to confirm the pregnancy. And, sure enough, it was official - they were going to have a baby. It was then that the news sank in and Giuliana and Aaron both shed tears of joy. A month and a half later, Giuliana and Aaron told their families. Everyone was excited to be welcoming the newest addition. -- Including the public! First an engagement, now a baby! News of the pregnancy was posted over several, well-known tabloid magazines, of which Giuliana despised.
Giuliana and Aaron decided they were going to wait until after the birth of their baby to get married. They were in no rush.
On a VERY rare snowy, mid-December night in London, Giuliana began having contractions. They came quick and not-so-far apart. Then her water broke. Her baby was planning to arrive two weeks earlier than expected -- and Aaron was away in Spain for a match. She called her doctor to inform her about her contractions and she said to come into the hospital for delivery. Terrified, Giuliana called Aaron's sister Jane, who only lived a few minutes away, to tell her the news. Jane arrived and took Giuliana to the hospital. On the car ride over, Giuliana called Aaron to inform him of the baby's early arrival. Aaron told Giuliana that he'd leave immediately and to try to "keep her in there" until he got there. It was when she discussed her symptoms with her friend Elsa, who had jokingly suggested that she probably was pregnant, that Giuliana raised her brow. To come to think of it, she didn't remember getting a visit from Aunt Flo the past month. She had been so busy with work that she completely lost track, and she'd be the first to admit she wasn't the best when it came to taking her BC pill on time. Panicked, Giuliana ran - almost literally - to the closest drug store and bought three packs of home pregnancy tests. One by one, each had a positive result. Giuliana was in shock. She called Aaron, who had been away for a game that weekend, and told him. They decided to wait until he returned that they could go to the doctor together to confirm the pregnancy. And, sure enough, it was official - they were going to have a baby. It was then that the news sank in and Giuliana and Aaron both shed tears of joy. A month and a half later, Giuliana and Aaron told their families. Everyone was excited to be welcoming the newest addition. -- Including the public! First an engagement, now a baby! News of the pregnancy was posted over several, well-known tabloid magazines, of which Giuliana despised.
Giuliana and Aaron decided they were going to wait until after the birth of their baby to get married. They were in no rush.
On a VERY rare snowy, mid-December night in London, Giuliana began having contractions. They came quick and not-so-far apart. Then her water broke. Her baby was planning to arrive two weeks earlier than expected -- and Aaron was away in Spain for a match. She called her doctor to inform her about her contractions and she said to come into the hospital for delivery. Terrified, Giuliana called Aaron's sister Jane, who only lived a few minutes away, to tell her the news. Jane arrived and took Giuliana to the hospital. On the car ride over, Giuliana called Aaron to inform him of the baby's early arrival. Aaron told Giuliana that he'd leave immediately and to try to "keep her in there" until he got there. Giuliana hung up on him.

After being married for a year and half, Rose and Xander decided to try for a baby, and Rose fell pregnant after only a few weeks! The pregnancy progressed well - better than with Sarah, actually - but when it came time to deliver they found out that Gavin was in breech and wouldn't turn, so they had to have a c-section.
Gavin is perfectly healthy and is a full two pounds heavier than his half-sister, but Rose had a bit of trouble recovering afterwards and had to hire help around the house since Xander was deployed overseas. She is recovering well now, though, and should be back to normal in no time.
Rose was offered a better paying job in San Francisco, where she would be able to focus solely on women's health. After deliberating for several days and talking it over with her friend Winifred, she decided to stay in Maine for the time being, since she dislikes the heat, and really enjoys the East Coast.

When Juliet found out she was pregnant, she wasn't sure how she felt about it. She finally felt she was settled in at her job and she and Aaron had just gotten a timeline set up for their future. They had planned to move in together in about six months, and if everything went well get married in two years. Now their plans were all going up in flames. She planned to wait a week before telling Aaron, so that she could get herself together enough to talk to him and know what she wanted, but when he came over the night after she found out she was pregnant, she told him.
Aaron was nervous, but reacted fairly well. He immediately asked Juliet if she wanted to get married right away. She declined his offer, but did suggest that they move in before the birth of their child, if only so they would be acquainted enough with the living situation as to not be constantly in each other's way.
Moving in together went well, which is honestly what Juliet and Aaron should have expected, considering the fact that they had basically lived together anyways before moving in together (sleeping one night at Aaron's, one at Juliet's, most of the week). They moved into Aaron's place, although eventually they would like to get a place that is more theirs than Aaron's.
When the baby is born they get a call from Juliet's great aunt, offering them money in exchange for naming rights. They seriously consider it, but ultimately decide they do not need the cash as badly as they need to keep their daughter away from teasing.
Maya is a relatively easy baby. She doesn't look more like one parent than the other, a perfect little combination in her parents' eyes. They pick the name Maya because they like it and the middle name Abigail is for Aaron's younger sister.
Speaking of siblings, Aaron's youngest brother Ben moved to San Francisco for work. He has been unable to find affordable housing in a decent neighborhood yet, so for the moment he is staying with Aaron and Juliet. Maya is currently sleeping in her parents' room so the living arrangement works. Ben pays the couple a little bit of money for the room and in exchange has promised to do some chores and be out of the house by Maya's first birthday or else he will run the risk of getting demoted to the couch! Ben and Aaron are mostly ignoring each other. Juliet is frustrated but isn't willing to interfere.
