Sofie and her boyfriend Luke had a beautiful daughter -- Nora. The pregnancy was unexpected, seeing as both Luke and Sofie are half way through degrees. Luckily, Luke's older sister lives in the area and helps care for the baby when needed (Luke and Sofie are away at college). Most of the family has yet to meet Nora, and are excited to be seeing her at New Years. Luke is studying accounting and Sofie is studying to be a nurse.
Tony's best friend Riley, after a whirlwind summer romance, found herself pregnant with the baby of a college sophomore. The baby's father wanted no part in raising him, and when Tony found out, he swore he would do right by Riley and Dylan. The two have since started dating and the family has accepted them with open -- if slightly shaky -- arms. Tony is attending the local state university, an hour away, and comes home every weekend to check up on them. Riley is currently at a community college, but will be moving out to live with Tony when second semester begins. Tony is studying biochemistry and Riley is studying psychology.
Maya and Drew both attend out of state universities. They are at different schools, but their schools are only half an hour apart so they get together almost every week to reminisce and check in on each other. Maya has begun dating Charlie, a sophomore business student. She herself is a journalism student and Drew is studying law. Drew has made plenty of friends but no girlfriends yet, much to his despair.
Nate and Anna miss having their siblings home -- within two years four of their siblings have left the house and two have had babies. Although they see Tony, Riley, and baby Dylan often, they miss the other family members. Nate and Anna have grown closer due to this.

After a great deal of planning and debate, Petra and Isaac marry, shortly after Petra graduates from university. The ceremony is elegant, if small, and the couple are more than happy with the way it has been planned. The couple spend some time as just the two of them, and later welcome their first child, a son. They name him Micah Rufus, and the boy is a very welcome addition. Noémi and Janelle don't feel old enough to be grandmothers, especially as they still have young children themselves, but they adore their grandson.
Jude returns home from university at Christmas with a wife in tow. The family was aware of Tullia as Jude's on-again off-again girlfriend from high school, but had no idea about the wedding. Jude and Tullia eloped, when they both realised how much they hated to be apart at university. Despite the jesting, however, the Summerses as a whole took to Alex Riddle quite well - especially Aaron, who became fast friends with his potential brother-in-law - and it was clear that the match was approved.

Things had been hectic and quite chaotic for Sophia and Theo since they brought the quads home. They were focusing on the kids, and lost themselves somewhere along the road. So when Sophia told Theo that she was pregnant again, he had some pretty strong doubts about him being the father.
After talking with Sophia and demanding the truth, the came clean and confessed that she had been having an affair for a couple of months. Theo felt utterly betrayed, and very hurt. He left Sophia the next day.
Sophia were sad to see Theo go, but she did understand him. And the love between them had disappeared. The love between Dakota and Sophia were still going strong though, and halfway through the pregnancy the two of them decided to give their relationship a try. A couple of months later their son, Felix Aurelian, were born.
