Welcome to Round 1!
Prompt: A year has passed since the coronation of the new ruler, and everyone eagerly awaited the birth of the first royal child. Everyone was hoping it would be an heir, but any sign that the couple could produce children was welcome. Barely a year after the marriage a baby did come, a beautiful and healthy child that everyone agreed is a credit to the couple. There were no problems with the pregnancy and the birth was perfectly normal with no complications, which everyone rejoiced over. How is your couple dealing with parenthood so soon after taking the throne? How involved in their child's life are they? Was the baby the heir they needed?
This round, everyone has had a daughter. One name has a meaning along the lines of precious/wonderful/bright, and one is related to her mother's name (you may choose which is FN and which is MN, or if both are MN). All other names are up to you.
Rules:
1. This is KUY, so no drops and sign-ups are welcome up to round 5.
2. You keep up with ages.
3. AT LEAST two middle names for each person are required.
4. Have fun!

The couple has just thrived with their new opportunity of parenthood. They are very hands-on parents, especially since Nastia's parents were not overly hands-on. She swore she would not let her children be raised by nannies. The kingdom was thrilled when the couple produced an heir to the throne so immediately after their wedding.

Oberon and Vivian's relationship took on interesting dynamics as time went on. They got along well and collaborated in much imperial business; Vivian's wit, charm and reputation helped immensely during negotiations with any warring corporations or machinating politicians. Oberon realized that he was quickly falling in love with his new wife. Vivian admired Oberon and enjoyed his company, and took on the role of a loving wife as well as a loyal friend. Nonetheless, only a few months after Oberon took the throne, Vivian discovered she was pregnant. This was not something she felt she was ready for – motherhood had never been high on her list of goals, though of course becoming empress had changed what was expected of her. She still felt very young and The councillors and the imperial families, though, were both thrilled by the news. Oberon himself was likewise quietly excited to become a father, though he did worry the change would be overwhelming when he was still so new to his duties as emperor.
The pregnancy and birth all went smoothly, though, and Vivian bore a daughter, christened Arushi Augusta Stefanis Valenti Grimes. Arushi, meaning "bright," symbolized the hope that she brought to the empire's future. Augusta was in honour of Oberon's father, Augustine, and Stefanis, of course, honoured Vivian and her noble family. The emperor and empress fell in love with their new daughter and became devoted to giving her a rich, loving upbringing that would help her become a smart, strong and just player in Ascent's political world. Women did not often take the helm in Ascent, unless they had no brothers, but a female heir would still be expected to take some place of great prestige in the Ascendant hierarchy. The empire's citizens all celebrated the young Duchess In the months after Ru's birth, though, discord sprung up in the young family.

Maddalena and Henry were thrilled to find out they were expecting their first child, but Maddalena was also apprehensive. She had barely been on the throne four months when she found out, and did not know how well she would be able to juggle ruling with motherhood. And as with all first-time mothers, she was afraid of the pain and danger of childhood and afraid she wouldn't make a good mother. But she had Henry and her family--she had moved her mother Ginevra, father Michael, and siblings Victoria, Niccolo, and Seraphina to the royal palace after before her coronation--to help her, as well as Henry's mother Elizabeth. The two mothers especially helped her, offering advice when it was needed and comfort when it was wanted. And everyone agreed that the lovely young queen made pregnancy seem easy. The physicians all told her she was quite lucky, as first pregnancies were often the most difficult. Maddalena was healthy and relatively comfortable through most of her pregnancy, and the birth was normal and relatively easy. Everyone rejoiced when the baby was a girl--the Crown Princess had arrived on the first try! They named her Rosalia Clarissa, a variant of Maddalena's grandmother's name and one of her own names, and Clarissa for her very bright blue eyes. Then Henry insisted on Maddalena, and Maddalena insisted on Elizabeth and Ginevra. Maddalena is still not sure how balancing running a queendom with mothering Rosie will be, but she is so head-over-heels in love with her daughter she doesn't care. She and Henry refuse to let the army of nursemaids do anything, but insist on doing everything themselves.
