Bad news for the whole family, Arthur's youngest sister Zoe, who has always been the one to stick out, has developed breast cancer. It is all going very fast, but Zoe is still battling against it. Arthur and his siblings Fern, Tara and Owen have allready discussed what to do with the children. They don't want to seperate them, but none of them can take all 4 (or even 6 if you count the boys aho come home for the weekend from uni). Arthur said, that he and Morgaine will take them, but Morgaine is very stressed out at the moment anyway, as she has started on her life long dream of a dramaschool for children.
All this has to happen without letting the children know, as they are still convinced, their mum will come home soon.
Autumn won't leave Zoe's bedside, as she and Zoe have become so close.
Titus has just passed his driving licence and wants a range rover to go hiking with Rachel. They were good friends for two years or so (Titus being in love with her was more of a childrens thing) but for the last year they have been going out on a more serious level.
Rachel's parents and Morgaine and Arthur get along very well.
Morgaine and Arthur don't want to buy him a car, as they don't have too much money and they also want him to earn it. He now helps Morgaine with the drama school she opend last year and get's money for that. He will get a used rover on his parents as a surprise, they will pay the money still needed.
Elliot still does kayaking, even after his dangerous accident 3 years ago. He just wouldn't stop. He now started going rock climbing, which Morgaine and Arthur watch in horror sometimes. But he is a natural talent, and hasn't had any great accidents - yet!
His trainer is a girl named Lora-Metta, 4 years his senior. He seems to really like her, but the age gap is a bit big... We will have to see, how it turns out.
Leila and Lana had a great tenth birthday. They were aloud to visit the London Royal Orchestra and practise with them!
Leila and Lana are still at the music academy and are already quite famous in the music circles. Especially Leila has been nicknamed "Little Moyse" by music magazines for her extremly good work on the german flute.
Lana is still very good on the cello, and plays in the Edinburgh Youth Orchestra with only 10 years! The only problem she get's into is when so talks and makes jokes whilst rehearsals. She is very sociable and makes a lot of friends. Leila is a little bit quieter, as she spends a lot of time with her german flute, practising. She also does more solo stuff, not as much orchestra, like Lana.
The girls love playing with their dad, he sings and they play their instruments.
Arthur and Morgaine have spend hours, discussing the girls fame, they don't want to ruin their childhood, so they declined the offer to send them to London and have them tought there. The girls still come home for three days a week, and phone calls are made every night.
Also, Caitlin moved to Edinburgh to study and she look in on her cousins at least once a week. She still loves music aswell, and it has become tradition, that Caitlin, Benjamin, Leila and Lana play a few songs at christmas, when all the family is there. Christopher is not so musicly talented as his twin Benjamin.
Matthew is 3 and still a toddler. As he is the youngest with quite an age gap, he nearly grew up as a single child. He is a little shy and still takes his little hand made cloth doll he got from Morgaine when he was born everywhere he goes. It's already been repaired at several places.
He loves to sit in a corner and read a book (he reads them out loud to "lolly", his doll). Well, he actually just tells the story by heart, he can't read yet :-)
He doesn't enjoy going out too much.
There has also been an interessting development between some of the kids at the family gathering a year ago.
Caitlin (Arthur's sister Fern's daughter) and Patrick (Morgaine's brother Gideon's stepson) fell in love and have been seing each other.
Patrick's twin brother Philipp and Caitlin's twin brother Liam have become good friends and enjoy going out together with Banjamin and Christopher. Also, Paul (another stepsond of Gideon) and Samantha (Arthur's brother Owen's daughter) have been going out quite a lot lately...
Also, there is a new "gang", the "terrible tens (and nines!)":
Pasqual, Rebecca, Solstice, Janis, Dylan, Percy, Pandora and Pearl!
Thankfully, they only come together 2 or three times a year :-)
