Year 1
One night Liam and I went rock-climbing with friends. We kind of got "obsessed". Now we rock climb all the time. We love traveling to rock climbing locations as well. It's been a great way to spend time together and get exercise :).

Year 2
We were blessed with our first, precious child this year! His name is Theodore Louis. He's got straight hair, like mine and the color is brown, exactly like his daddy's. He has bright blue eyes. We're so lucky to have such a cute son. We moved out of the apartment and bought our own home. Theo's room is painted like a jungle.

Year 3
This year we added to our family. But this time by process of adoption. A little girl who is 11 years old. She's 11, so we kept her name Lilia Anastasiya. She's a beautiful girl with blonde hair and striking blue eyes that seem to fit perfectly into our blue eyed family. She's quite a bubbly young girl with a big imagination. She loves writing stories and painting, just like Liam.

Year 4
We had currently been living in a small house with only 2 bedrooms. Because of our growing family, we decided it'd be best to move this year. We had currently been living in the Southern U.S., but I accepted a teaching position (8th grade) up in Michigan, so we moved there. Both kids love playing in the snow in the winter, but I personally miss the warmer winters.

Year 5
A tornado hit this summer. Houses were damaged, but luckily ours was spared. Neighbors have had to build new houses, but the great thing is the community. We've grown closer as a community and met people we never would've met before. Our town is coping fine, but now Theo is afraid our house will be destroyed somehow.

Year 6
We got to go to Scotland this year. My niece, Olivia, got married to a nice, young man named Luca there this May. It was a fun time for our family, and especially Olivia's. My kids had fun there as well, meeting family they've never met before, although Theo was a bit scared of the plane. Lilia especially loved seeing a new country.

I feel old now. I became a great-aunt this year. Olivia and Luca had their first child, a girl named Agatha. We went to Scotland again, to visit her and had a great time. Now Theo wishes he had a little sister.

Year 8
Another member has been welcomed into our family. A little boy, who's 8 years old, named Jai Nikhul. We call him Nicky. He's very small for his age and has golden brown skin and chocolate brown eyes and hair. He loves it here and has adjusted very well to our family. Theo loves having an older brother, and Nicky loves have a younger one.

Our family is ever growing. This year we welcomed home a baby girl who just turned 1 from the Philippines. His name is Samuel Dakila. He's an adorable boy with chocolate brown eyes and dark black hair and light brown skin. He's shy with strangers, but it adjusting to our family well. All the kids, especially Theo, are glad to have a baby brother.

One last member was added to our family. A chicken. Lilia had the honors of naming him. He ended up being named Johann Sebastian Bach, Bach for short. Theo wanted it to be named Chicky and Nicky wanted it to be named Nicky. Good thing Lilia named it :).
