It's been a little while since I've seen the “year game” so I decided to make a new version. Hope you have fun!

First, we start by choosing the spouses. You can decide if you choose a male-female pair or male-male, or female-female. Up to you.

SURNAMES :
For both partner's surnames (or maiden names), roll the die and follow the instructions for the number you rolled

NAMES :
Roll the die and follow the instructions. This one is split into male and female. Roll for first name and middle name (s). The number of middles is up to you.

Year One
A year after marrying right out of high school, Jasper and Ellie adopted a female kitten. Her name is Katniss (after the Hunger Games character yes) and she's a domestic short hair.

Year Two
For spring break during their second year of school, Jasper and Ellie travelled to the UK for a week. This was Ellie's dream trip and they got to do all the things they wanted.

Year Three
Katniss was getting bored at home, so Jasper decided to adopt another animal as a surprise. Katniss is surprisingly good with rabbits, so Jasper adopts a white bunny. He brings her home, Ellie was very happy and names the bunny Pancakes. Pancakes and Katniss share a great bond.

2013 - This first year after their marriage, August and Audrey go on a volunteer trip to Mexico. They go to help at an orphanage that is very poor and overrun with children.

2012:
Malachy and Diana move into a bigger house now that they have a decent sized income. It has a pool and four bedrooms.

2013:
Their move turned out to be lucky because the next year Diana fell pregnant with their first child! They named him Connall Tobias Quinn. He has his father's wavy brown hair and his mother's green eyes.

Year One: They blow all the monetary wedding gifts on a pet horse named Apple. They are enjoying the carelessness and freedom of being young marrieds, including weekend jaunts to Greece and Spain.

Year Two: On one of these jaunts, Eve unexpectedly gets pregnant, a complete shock to both of them as they had no real desire for children. They are living in a small one-bedroom apartment in the heart of London and are unable to find anything bigger in their price range. She gives birth to a beautiful baby boy, Theodore Dylan, with curly black hair like his mother and surprisingly green eyes. Theo is a colicky, difficult baby and he adjusts poorly to daycare. Roman decides to leave his firm to become a stay-at-home dad, since Eve makes a higher salary. By the end of their second year of marriage, Eve is working longer hours to support the family, Roman is miserable at home with Theo, and seven-month old Theo is just plain miserable.

Year Three: Eve gets the opportunity to do field work in Spain for six months, after which she'll be promoted and receive an increase in salary. They are desperate for a bigger apartment and decide to take it. Roman joins a stay-at-home-dad's group and Theo's growing independence leads to a 180 in his personality. When Eve returns home, she is thrilled to find a sweet, giggly seventeen-month old toddler and a much happier and more relaxed husband.

Year Four: All Eve's hard work and Roman's saving has paid off and they move to a positively luxurious three-bedroom flat just outside London. Now that Theo's difficult baby years are over, Eve and Roman are delighting in being parents and cautiously plan to have more children once Theo starts primary. (Theo turns two.)

Year 1: We love to travel and see new places. This year we decided to go visit a place neither of us had ever been before so we went to Turkey!

Year 2: We couldn't wait to be parents but it hadn't happened yet so we decided to look into adoption. We ended up traveling to Uganda to adopt an 11 year old girl. Her name is Imani but we asked her if she would like to use that as her middle name and chose a more Americanized first name and she chose Kelly.

Year 3: Soon after we brought Kelly home we found out that we were expecting - twins. We ended up with a boy and a girl. We named the boy Liam Diego Gonzalez and the girl Naomi Margaret Gonzalez. Liam has curly brown hair and blue eyes. Naomi has wavy black hair and grey eyes.

Year 4: We decided to take a family vacation but with two small children we thought it would be best to stay within the country so we drove from our home in South Carolina to Maine for 3 weeks.

Year 5: We were blessed with twins yet again this year. They are both girls but they are not identical. We named the girls Grace Athena and Genevieve Rhea "Jenny". Grace has straight brown hair and blue eyes - just like her father. Jenny has curly brown hair like me and blue eyes like Louis.

Year 6: Sadly this year Louis' grandfather died from a heart attack. Louis was very upset and the children really miss Pop-pop but we are all doing better with coping.

Reina's Uncle Matthias--Reina was his favorite niece--passed away. When he passed away, he left a HUGE amount of money to Reina, since he had no kids of his own. Reina is very touched and very happy. She certainly was not expecting this.

YEAR 1 - 2/4
Reina decides she wants to go back to school. So she starts taking night classes. Having always been interested but pressured not to go into it, she decides to take an acting class. She learns much more than she expected--such as how to project her voice better, how to warm up for theatrical performances, how to do stage makeup, and plenty more! In all, Reina certainly isn't regretting her decision to go back to school.

YEAR 1 - 3/4
Oh my gosh! Reina's had a baby! A baby girl. They've named her Brigitte Grace. She looks so much like her daddy--she even has his hair and eyes! Reina can't help but smile whenever she sees little Gitta.

YEAR 1 - 4/4
For Christmas, Aaron adopted a little puppy for Reina and Gitta. He presented it to them on Christmas day, all wrapped in a big Christmassy bow. Reina couldn't help but squeal. Aaron had to take Gitta from her so she wouldn't drop the poor baby.

YEAR 2 - 1/4
In one of Aaron's classes, he has a guest speaker. This speaker, from Ethiopia, talks about how things have been bad in his country for so long. He even brought a little child along with him as an example. The child--a four-year-old little girl--was an orphan with no family, no home, no food, no clothes. The child, he told the class, would go right back home to Ethiopia, where she would resume her usual schedule. But Aaron and Reina wouldn't let that happen. They decided to adopt the little girl. Her original name--Akinyi Ayodele--became two middle names, with her first name being Cecily. Cece, as she is called, is very happy in her new home.

Gwendolen is two.
Victoria and Winston are one.

There is a death in the family – Lance's mother. He is understandably devastated but just glad that Gwen, Tory and Winston got to know their grandmother before she passed.

2017:
Gwendolen is three.
Victoria and Winston are two.

Philippa (27) is feeling off for a while, but just figures she's tired from looking after three toddlers all day. She's wrong – turns out she's pregnant, and again it's twins! Fraternal girls this time.

They name them Astrid Penelope de Meyer and Rosalind Samira de Meyer.

Astrid and Rosie both have straight blonde hair and brown eyes, like their twin siblings and mother.

2018:
Gwendolen is four.
Victoria and Winston are three.
Astrid and Rosalind are one.

Philippa (28) is again pregnant. She and Lance (29) are overjoyed – they have always wanted a large family. Lance secretly hopes for a son, but it is another girl. He is still delighted (and honestly, relieved it isn't twins!).
