1 1/2 years have passed and you are welcoming your very first child to the family!!! How do you and your spouse feel? Are you excited? Scared? Well-Prepared?
I have given initials to everyone--you can use any name you want, as long as it has those initials. I've also put what color eyes and hair your child will have. Now, tell us about your newborn son! What does he act like? Is he content? Is he fussy? Is he demanding?
Have fun describing your son and tell me anything. I'd be glad to read it.

okay I've finally figuered it out. Aaron and my new baby son's name is Nathanael Brandon. At first Nathanael was a loud, tense, unconfortable baby that wouldn't sleep. But in a few days, he became quiet, and comfortable with his new room, and his family. He is a sweet child, that is already very bright. (that good?)

Kate and Wallace were very excited when they found out that they were expecting! They had talked about having children even before they were married. They painted Nicholas's bedroom yellow, and added blue checkered curtains, light blue bedding, and he has a ton of blue clothing, along with baseball caps. They were well prepared for their son- Kate read every book she could find, and Wallace supported Kate in every way she wanted. It was a fairly easy pregnancy, and Nicholas was born on June 12, wheing 8 lbs, 2 oz. They brought him home around noon the next day, and he was barley awake an hour for the rest of the day! He slept through everything- grandma and grandpa, friends, even his own dinner time! Kate and Wallace were a bit startled at Nicky's behaviour, but he livened up the next day. He's a happy, healthy baby, and the parents couldn't ask for more. He likes bright colors and being read to. Kate says she's seen smiles out of him already! They hope to add a sibling to the family soon.

Con and Skylar were very surprised when they first found out they were expecting a new family member, because he wasn't planned. Both parent were verey exited and were looking foreward to the arrival of their first child. They named their son Jago Leonardo. Jago because they both liked the name a lot and Leonardo after both grandfathers named Leo and Lennard. It was tough for them when he was just born, they both never cared for a baby before, but now it's starting to work out. Skylar went back to work and it comes in very handy that one works during the days and the other parent work during the night, so there's always someone around to care for little Jago. They're both very tired and they mostly see each other sleeping or just for an hour or two a day, but they both agree that their son is worth the sacrifice. Jago is a very sweet child.

Although their pregnancy was not planned, per se, it was a very welcome surprise for newlyweds Marielle and Oliver! Although it happened sooner than they expected, both were quite excited about starting their family together. As the time drew nearer, Marielle grew increasingly more nervous about her parenting ability, but Oliver constantly reassured her that they would do just fine. Marielle went into labor two days after her due date, and Barrett Neville Reilly was born via cesarean. Baby Rhett sleeps well and frequently, much to the relief and delight of his proud parents. Marielle loves to say that he takes after his father, with his seemingly easygoing and peaceful nature and beautiful eyes, but Oliver believes that Rhett is the perfect combination of both him and his wife . Although both Marielle and Oliver find this new world of parenthood nerve-wracking and scary, they find it to be mostly exhilarating and rewarding, and love their son more than words could ever say.

It's been a year and a half since Nic and I married. Everything is going really well. Nic has taught me to speak Russian. I can identify it more than I can speak it. I hope I can only get better. We've been to Russia twice. After our wedding here in Canada we flew out there and had a little traditional ceremony with his family and friends. It was great. I'm pretty sure we concieved that night. Both Nic and I are very excited to be parents, although it was a little unexpected. I am only 25 and he 23. I am only in my 3rd year pyschology course and after that I want to persue sports psychology. Nic is still travelling with Stars on Ice and is in his second year of his four contract. It's defenitly going to be interesting. I am so glad I completed my goal of accomplishing my gold figure skating levels last year. Now I can have coaching at least to fall back on. I'll probably finish my psycology course degree through correspondence for now.
IT'S A BOY! Javor Hadrian was born December 19th. He was 7lbs 8oz and 19 3/4 long. We had a home birth and it ended up as a water birth as well. The labour lasted 41.5 hours. But in the end it was worth it. Javor has lots and LOTS of thick black hair. For the most part he's pretty content baby. Mommy and daddy spoil him to death. He prefers to fall asleep in the company of people and is nick named "Owl". He is at his alertest at night. Which really doesnt do his parents any good :P
Javor's name was picked out by his grandparents in Russia. Javor means maple tree in serbian. They gave him this name because he was born in Canada. Nic picked out Hadrian because he wanted a strong name for his son and since Hadrian was a roman emporor it was perfect. Javor Hadrian Sokoll.

Ike couldn't help but be an Ike. Before he was born, Fern and I talked about what to call him, and we'd decided he'd be Isaac Charles, and maybe we'd call him Izzy. But when we saw him, it was clear he was an Ike.
He's a cute little kid--has really chubby cheeks and bright brown eyes. He looks a lot like I did when I was born, actually, though his skin's a lighter shade than mine. Ike has this little bit of dark brown hair that looks kind of like a berber rug. Fern didn't appreciate it when I pointed that out.
It was really exciting, getting ready for him. It was also kind of scary, since I'd only quit my day job a little while ago. The Reds have become popular enough that we're starting to get serious about the music, especially Quinn, our flautist and one of my best friends. He's absolutely convinced that we have to get in the top 40 in the near future.
Anyway, Ike's room is all set up. It's a deep purple colour, and we've put up pictures and a mobile and set stuffed animals around the place. I've been practicing my lullabies, so when Fern gets sick of singing "Hey, Big Spender" to him (I don't know why it's always the first song that comes to her mind, but it is), I can break out the clarinet.
Ike and I have only known each other for about six hours, but I think we'll be good together. He cried a lot during that time, but that's all right--it's really bright and cold in Chicago in January, even when you're in the hospital. He's had a long day; he's got the right to squall at us.

Baby Rodney is possibly the cutest baby ever. He has a dusting of white blond hair (just like Quinn's!) on the top of his pale head, framing his chubby face. His blue eyes are sparkly. Rod is a little demanding, and loves to cry. He is also very charming, so it is hard to stay mad at him.
Quinn and I are a little nervous now that we've finally gotten him out of the hospital. I am always worried that I am going to drop him. For the most part, we feel prepared, but I doubt we will ever get used to those late night feedings.
Quinn is already trying to teach Rodney some French. It hasn't worked so far, but he has managed to teach a lot to Owen in the process.
Quinn and I live in a lovely little apartment in Chicago, IL. I am a currently working on my residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Quinn still plays with our friend, Milo Brightman, in the jazz band, The Reds. He hasn't reached his goal of a Top 40 song yet, but vows not to give up.

Quinn is already trying to teach Rodney some French. It hasn't worked so far, but he has managed to teach a lot to Owen in the process.
Quinn and I live in a lovely little apartment in Chicago, IL. I am a currently working on my residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Quinn still plays with our friend, Milo Brightman, in the jazz band, The Reds. He hasn't reached his goal of a Top 40 song yet, but vows not to give up.

Morgaine and Arthur meet for the first time 1 1/2 years ago. They hit it off imediatly and moved in together after just 3 months.
As they both felt the wish for a big family they looked for a nice house not to far out of the city where they work, but in the countryside. After finding an old Windmill with buildings around it that they fell in love with, they spend nearly a year renovating it. During that time, Morgaine fell pregant and now, just 2 months after moving into the windmill, Titus Irving was born. The birth went well and Morgaine and Arthur had a picknick outside with all the family a week later. Titus is a sweet little boy with blue-green eyes, and light brown thick wavy hair. He sleeps a lot, and if he wakes up, he drinks the whole time. Thankfully Morgaine and Arthur can finish the windmill.
Caitlin & Liam and Benjamin want to play with theire cousin Titus the whole time, they don't realise, they will have to wait a while until they can play with him.
Arthur's brother Owen has married Paige in the meantime and she announced that she was also pregnant only 5 months after Morgaine! Theire baby is due in September. They don't know what it will be yet, but one thing is sure, Titus will not only have 4 and 5 year old cousins, but also one only months younger! Hopefully they will become good friends.

Mila and Shiloh are thrilled to announce the arrival of their son Alasdair, born at 4:15 AM on New Year's day and weighing 7 pounds 3 ounces. Alasdair is a rather temperamental baby, but has an adorable smile when he's not being fussy. He has gorgeous green eyes, inherited from his mother's side, and light brown hair that will probably darken to be the same color as his father's when he gets older.

I've taken four months off my job, but it has been decided that John will stay home with him over the summer, and then take leave first semester while I go back to work.
