HelpCatalina's Television Congrats Sign-Up
I'm hosting my first Congrats! It has a twist, though: instead of making up your SOs, choose two characters from a television show. They don't have to be together in the actual show, but they can be. For instance, you could use the established couple of Monica and Chandler from Friends, the non-established couple of Kate and Sawyer in Lost, or a hinted-at couple like Jack McCoy and Claire Kincaid in Law and Order. Basically, any two people, male or female, married or unmarried.
Please write a few sentences in the sign-up about your characters and the basic premise of the TV show. You can make up middle names if they are unknown.
Rules:
1. You will be dropped if you miss three rounds with no notice.
2. Ages are required and I'll try to keep up with them. You can approximate your characters' ages.
3. I'll have a loose prompt in each round, and using it is greatly encouraged.
4. Please bold new arrivals.
5. Have fun!

Elliot and Olivia became partners on the police force about three years ago. Not long after Elliot and his first wife, Kathy, separated. Although Kathy accused, Elliot and Olivia didn't actually get together until a few months after the divorce.
Kathy and Elliot had been together since high school and that near decade of togetherness had proven to be too much for the two of them, especially when Kathy became jealous of Elliot's new partner. The two of them were on and off, until, at 17, Kathy got pregnant with Maureen. They married a few months before the girl was born, but the only thing truly keeping them together was their daughter, and later, daughters and son. Now that he and Kathy are separated, Elliot has gotten full custody of their children. The main reason for this was that Kathy wanted to gain some stability in her life, once more, before she let her children come back to live with her. Maureen is starting the fifth grade, and is a very responsible young woman. Katie is now in third grade, and while she tries hard, school can be a challenge. The twins, Dickie and Lizzie, are in first grade and they love playing with their new brother most.
Olivia was a single mother to a small boy, Calvin. Calvin was born to an addict who Olivia had worked with on her first case as a police officer, a few years before he was born. His birth mother, Vicky, had decided it was too much for her to handle and dropped him off with the only person she had ever believed to care about her, Olivia. Motherhood, especially because it was so unexpected, was a hard thing for Olivia to adjust to, but she loved every second of it. She had never planned on having her own children because, with such a dysfunctional childhood under her belt, she felt like she would not know how to love them. However, from the moment she picked up Calvin, she knew she loved him, and she knew she would do anything for him. Now at the age of four, Calvin is a very curious little boy who loves to play with his new brother and sisters.

Can I adjust the storyline slightly?
I have two ideas but in both the characters are in their 40s so would it be possible for me to turn back the clock (i.e. make them get together a few years before the current season)?

Derek has since divorced his exwife Addison. Meredith & Derek have been married now for 2 years & are in the processing of adopting Zola. Zola is their daughter in the their heart, but not theirs yet. Meredith & Derek are hoping Zola will be theirs very soon.
