Mother's sister is the option I'm leaning towards...
Have you guys decided whether the Reys were nobility or not before the war? This could affect my story as to why Flora's mother married a poor boat-maker...I mean, if Theodosia, Sr. and Flora's mother (name to come) come from a well-to-do family, then Flora's mother might have married for love, but if they were peasants of any sort and Theodosia, Sr. married up...? Just wondering what you guys were thinking...

We decided they were nobility, but not too high. Wealthy enough for them to indulge their children and give them the best tutors but low enough that royalty is a big step up.
Okey-doke, so...were Theodosia, Sr. and Flora's mother (named Cassandra, maybe?) a part of this same rank or what?
I think that's what we are thinking, that Theodosia's family is of comparable rank to Leonidas'.
