Not long ago, King Thibault received word that his rival, King Henry of Kriana, had an explorer whom had discovered an archipeligo rich with minerals and potential. King Thibault knew that making a colony of such a place would be beneficial for the Ardelusian people sent scouts to see how much of an advantage King Henry already had. Scouts reported back that their army had already mobilised, and that a politician named Victor Hamilton had already been choosen to be the new head of state of the archipeligo.
King Thibault mobilised his men, of course leading them. He was devestated to have to leave Juliette as she was heavily pregnant, but as a King he did not have a choice but to go, and pray that she and their unborn child would be safe. He left Juliette with the support of his mother, Queen Mother Gisèle, his also heavily pregnant sister-in-law Apolline, and many physicians.
With support from many influential families, particularly the Beauxchamp's, Thibault increased the size of their marine capabilities and set off. The trip was long and dangerous, and only a few weeks in, Thibault became gravely ill. He was disappointed in his own weakness, but his men loved him still. Reluctantly, he was returned home to recover leaving his men and their quest in the capable hands of his brother and best friend, Prosper.
Upon his return, Thibault discovered that during his absence Juliette had birthed a son! Thibault was thrilled to have an heir, and they have named him Dieudonne. Juliette and Thibault are so proud of their son who is strong and healthy and looks just like Thibault with dark wavy hair and the trademark Delacroix crystal blue eyes. Thibault was also pleased to have returned home in time to be there in his brothers stead when his sister-in-law Apolline delivered his niece, little Princess Adélaïde. They are sad however that Adélaïde is a sickly child, and a bit disappointed that she was not a boy it must be said. Thibault is planning on rejoining his army once his strength returns and sending Prosper home to meet his child.
Juliette has noticed that her dear sister-in-law has withdrawn into herself since Adélaïde's birth and is concerned, but is so preoccupied with her darling son that she has yet to broach the subject with her.
