Liam's parents Bill and Francine Fitzgerald never accepted their son's relationship with LaKendra. When Liam told that they were having a child together, his father announced that he will remove Liam's name from his will and pass all of his fortune to Liam's brother Jack. Liam was sad, and decided that he didn't want to name his son William Edward Fitzgerald V.
Few months later LaKendra gave birth to their son. They named him Kendrick Edward. After Kenny's birth Liam contacted his parents to tell them about their new grandchild. Bill Fitzgerald told him that the wanted to have nothing to do with Liam, "that woman" and "that woman's child". Liam was sad. He never really cared about his family's fortune, he just wanted their acceptance. "At least Kenny will have parents who will always accept and love him", Liam said and hugged LaKendra. "We have a great little family together."
