The Darcys' life has been comparatively quiet in the past three years. A house teacher comes into the home every day and teaches Cynthia and Antonia about history and natural sciences; Maxima tries to sneak into their lessons regularly, but as she's still to young, she usually ends up as George's playfellow. There actually has been another addition to the family: little Rupert joined the family shortly before Christmas.
