Life was pretty good for the Pulsifer-Device clan. Newt had actually managed to invent something that worked and sold the patent for quite a lot. Anathema was happy staying home to watch her kids. Hal was doing well in school, especially math and science. His inventions still weren't getting anywhere, but he usually ended up with an honorable mention at the science fairs for pure uniqueness and ingenuity. Freddie was doing well in school, too, but he got in trouble a lot because he couldn't keep his mouth shut. His teacher reccomended putting him on medication, but Newt and Anathema thought that was ridiculous; Freddie was their little loudmouth, and they didn't ever want that to change. Star started kindergarden and was still her divaish self, always having to be the center of the attention. Elanor was a little ball of sunshine, always smiling and laughing. Like Hal, she seemed to have inherited Anathema's Sight and was the first to ask their mother about their new little brother. Quintessence Bartleby Pulsifer-Device arrived healthy and quite a lot bigger than any of his siblings. Anathema swore she'd never have another one after Quinn's difficult delivery, but everyone else seems to think that there are likely more little ones in the Pulsifer-Device future.
