I'll add more to the paragraph when I recieve the gender of the child.
Eric and Ariel were finally married after the kingdom waging a civil war against itself. Some thought the kingdom didn't need to form an alliance with 'fish' and other just fell in love with their queen to be. After a long while the two ways of life were joined together and the kingdom is at peace...at least, for now.

Important Note
Sorry, I didn't post it in this round, but we're sticking with the original versions of the fairytales, not the Disney or other movie versions. The Little Mermaid is therefore out because in the original Hans Christian Anderson story, she dies. You may use the names if you are attached to them, but the story must be different.
