Lulu, I'm so sorry things got so messed up last time! I didn't realize that you had names listed and all, so I fell behind. If it's ok I'll put everything here. I put in the round one stuff, and I will add the round two stuff when you give me the ok/tell me what list ok?

Round one: Sleep ritual
The first three months of Caed's life were such a blur to us. Before he was born we read all the baby books, we thought we were prepared. Caed had other plans. No matter how many times we put the pacifer back in or how long we let him "cry it out" he would not sleep. So despite what all the books and "experts" said one night, out of pure exasperation, I put Caed to be with us. With one little interuption for a midnight snack, he slept eight hours! Apparently what little Caed needs for to get some rest is to be cuddled and loved by his mommy and daddy. Jack and I learned an important lesson: don't let "experts" tell you whats right for your kids.
Your eyes, your smile, made my little life worthwhile. The sky was a lot more blue when I was on top of you.

Since as soon as Loren was born he slept in the family bed with Jack, Caed and I he doesn't so much have a nursery. What would have been the boys room we've now converted to a play room of sorts. Really it's more of a "living" room, since that is where we spend most of out time! Caed is obsessed with cars of every sort, so we designed this room to cater to that. Half of the room is nicely decorated with soft brown carpet and light blue walls with a nice couch for Loren and I to relax, the other half is home to a large tree topped two-story mountain turnpike of Caed's dreams. A treaded rampway leads "up the mountain" to a small town consisting mostly of garages and fire stations. After sliding back down, the under side "fort" reveals a matchbox racetrack worthy of Nascar. Caed could, and often does, play all day in there, while Loren and I enjoy our time reading and cuddling.
(What a dinkus am I, I named my son Caed when my mom's name is Kate. I really need to learn to pay better attention, geez. Oh well, nothing I can do about it now.)
