It is 1905.
In late 1901, Jack and Marie welcomed a second little boy, and in 1902 they welcomed a third. In 1904, they had their first daughter. Thankfully, all of their children were born healthy, and Marie didn't get too sick during pregnancy. The farm is doing well. Jack has recently hired a young man named Isaac to help him with all the chores and in the fields. Isaac is a vagabond, and he had been wandering around alone for awhile before Jack ran into him in town. Isaac is 19, and he is currently living in the barn. In the spring, Jack is hoping to help him build a lean-to on the far side of the property. Isaac is very thankful to Jack for hiring him, and he is hoping to save up enough money to put a down payment on a vacant land adjoining the Fields' property.
Marie is very busy taking care of the children, but its what she enjoys, and she likes nurturing her little ones.
Little Jonny is now five years old. He loves helping Jack do the farm chores, and he looks up to Isaac like an idol. Jonny is very outgoing, and he likes talking to everybody in town when Marie takes shopping trips.
Jamie is four. He is a rambunctious little troublemaker with a charming smile. He enjoys keeping busy and is especially intrigued by the cows and horses that the family owns.
Benny is three. He is also a bit wild, but not nearly so much as his two older brothers. Benny loves to smile and make people laugh, especially Jack, whom he looks up to tremendously.
Rachel is one. She is the baby of the family, for now. She is giggly and happy. She already toddles around after her big brothers and adores the attention of her parents and Isaac.
