Reese Ann is a 3-year-old girl from San Jose, California. She has blond hair and blue eyes. She can't walk or talk, so her parents gave her up. She likes teddy bears and animals.
Leilani Eve is an 11-year-old girl from Honolulu, Hawaii. She has black hair and black eyes. She is far below average height and confined to a wheelchair, and her parents refused to support her. She likes writing and telling stories.

Thanks! The kids are doing great. Because Reese can't talk she is learning to communicate with symbols and sign language. She is also seeing physical therapist and has made some progress, but it's too early to say if she will ever be able walk. We have adopted a kitten, named Einstein, and Reese loves him so much.
Leilani, or "Leila" as she wants to be called, is excited that her new dad is a writer. Leila is a pretty good writer for her age, and she and Dorian often discuss about writing stories. Leila has also befriended with our daughter Serene, and often helps her with her homework.
