1. You were being really rude on ops just now.
--1a. BTNers have an especially low threshhold for rudeness.
--1b. Many BTNers have had their own names attacked. We do not flounce around and act put out about it.
2. Many posters on BTN are adults and can recognize teenage behavior out of having-once-been-teenagers.
--2a. A couple posters, such as queenv and Starla, think it is below them to deal with teenagers civilly. (This is not an attack on them, I am sure either of them would acknowledge this in a second, I don't mind saying it.) They are not necessarily representative of the overall BTN population.
3. I think you are overreacting / behaving childishly even if you are not as young as queenv projects that you are.
--3a. I like the name Rudolph and if I ever post about it ten blue billion people tell me how it reminds them of the reindeer. Sometimes I have gotten to saying "I understand that it reminds you of a reindeer, I am tired of that argument, please tell me something else." I have not been bratty about it though and I have not left because of it.
--3b. Also I don't really understand why you'd want less detailed opinions on it? Wasn't the boatload of people saying 'I don't like it [because of the extra a]' enough?
