We've had a bit of a tradegy recently. The family next door had a daughter the same age as Mattie, her name was Ellie and they've been inseperable since they were babies. About a month ago Ellie got really sick, and last week she passed away. Turns out Ellie had menengitis...
Telling Mattie that Ellie had died was horrible and Mattie hasn't said a word to anyone since. Ít's breaking our hearts to see our little girl so sad and confused, and it's so hard to know that we can't reach her emotionally right now, she's just really hurting. Seb and I have talked and we've agreed that we're going to get Mattie some counselling to try and help her through this. We just hope it works.
