Charles Tollak Krieg
(Charles: "army, warrior". Tollak: "Thor's play/game (involving weapons)". Krieg: German word for war)
Charles Tollak Krieg always knew he was adopted. His father, the head of the multinational Krieg Corporation, never hid it from him. And from a very young age Charles knew he was special. His first memories of his power were at three years of age - he discovered he could throw a kind of spikes even though he didn't have them on his hands. His father noticed it one day - Charles thought he would be in trouble, but instead, his father merely ruffled his hair and said they would have to have a serious talk when he got older. He never had much contact with his father, or his stepmothers (there were several throughout the years). He was raised by nannies.
When Charles turned 8, his father thought it was time for his trainment to begin. Charles not only got to develop his power over the years, as he trained to have the skills of a warrior. At the age of 18, he was an expert in several marcial arts and had could hit a precise target from great distance, both with guns and his natural weapons (which he greatly prefers).
Charles also studied to become his fathers successor in Krieg Corp one day. At 25 he had a very influential role in the company already. But suddenly, without anyone expecting it, his father died of a heart attack. Even though he had never been that close to his father, he couldn't help but to feel a sense of abandonment - he had no other family. He took on his father's work and kept his assistant. At first, he was a bit reluctant - he had always suspected that 23-year-old Morana Yarrow had been hired by his father only because of her age and looks, but she surprised him with her competence.
One day, he finished making a speech at an important inauguration and he asked a stagehand about Morana. He told Charles someone had been looking for her. He thought it was strange and asked her who it was, but she simply said it was personal business.
The next day, she informed him that a very important partner of Krieg Corp had asked for an emergency meeting, and that they had to drive there as soon as possible. Once he got into the car, Morana sat next to him. He felt her grab his arm strongly and he was about to ask her what was going on when he fainted. When he woke up he was in a room he didn't recognize with Morana and a strage looking woman. They told him that his father had been the head of an organization that abducted children like him - and Morana. Much to his surprise, she also had a power, which she called biological manipulation. He stopped them when they tried to tell him he was one of those children - he was well aware of his power. Morana told him everything that had happened the night his father died - including that she had been the one to kill him. He felt the rage grow in him and had to control himself not to pin her against the wall. It would have been very easy for him to take them both out. Instead, he asked:
"Why shouldn't I just turn you over to the police right now?"
"One, because they wouldn't believe you." Morana simply stated. "Two, because once you dig it up, you'll find that we're telling the truth. I consider myself fired for this, but I won't run. Do whatever you want to."
They let him go, and as much as Charles thought the whole thing was gibberish, he started digging up on the company's old records and "interviewed" some of his fathers old associates - most were old and impressionable and they were forced to tell him the truth. So, with a bit of a wounded pride, he contacted Morana:
"I can't blame you for what you did," he told her, "but I don't have to like you either."
He developed a plan to have them find the other children and tell them the truth about themselves, with the help of the gypsy. Morana accepted, and so now, besides they apparent boss-assistant relationship and Morana's paralel work, they are working together to find the others.
Charles absolutely can't stand the girl. She has now gained the habit of calling him Chuck just to enrage him. It even "slipped" during a company board meeting. He now gets colds much more often than he used to, and he is pretty sure Morana is making him sick just so that she can brag about making him better. In return, she has gained some pretty good reflexes, since every now and then she has to dodge a spike or fifteen.
Morana was visiting Blair one day, and she was complaining about her boss as usually. When Blair went to the bathroom, Morana got a call from Charles - and it was at that point that Blair chose to come back into the room and state rather loudly, "When are you going to admit that you are madly in love with this Chuck fellow?"
From then on Charles stated getting less colds and Morana stopped having to dodge so many spikes - mostly because they were too embarassed to look at each other and talk about anything that wasn't related to work.
(I just had to tell the story in Charles's POV - and added a couple of things. I'm really loving this game so far!)

I like that you changed the POV to Charles. It's a much better way to introduce him. I'm glad you're having fun. I honestly thought no one would be interested. :)
