With the day of Kay's little brother Adrian, Kay was devestated. Adrian and Kay had been very close growing up and had talked to each other the day before he died.
Kay and Hunter have not been planning to have anymore children but when they saw little Scarlett they knew that they had to adopt her, since they already loved her and they knew that was what Adrian would want them to do.
