After the death of Jane's father, the family moves into the estate. They've only been there a short time when they notice strange things happening. The lights flicker and shut off inexplicably despite recently having been fixed, and they find coins all over the house, even though no one in the house carries cash. Upon talking to a neighbour about this, and hearing that they have both had the same experience after losing a loved one, Jane is stunned to learn that it is the spirit of her father doing this, to let her know that he is still around her. Jane is comforted to know that her father is leaving little signs for her, and is now better able to deal with the loss.
