Kat and Hugo couldn't bring themselves to decide on selective reproduction, so they decided to carry on with the pregnancy. The octuplets were born 13 weeks premature. One of the boys was a stillborn. One of the girls succombed a week after the birth. The other babies had to stay in the hospital some time. A month after the birth, Bella and George were taken home! Two weeks after that, Alice, Martha and Isaac joined them. Sophia had to stay a while longer because of a problem in her heart - she went under surgery and only came home a month after her brothers and sisters. Still, they are all well now and Kat and Hugo are thankful for that.

The boy and girl that didn't make it, Kat and Hugo decided to give them the names of David and Mary, so they were given a proper burial.
