Two years after Aaron and Asha married, a tragedy occurred. Asha's best friend since childhood, Nila, and her husband Ranjit were found dead only a couple blocks away from their apartment in Chicago, having been killed when they resisted a mugger. Their 8 year-old son Jacob was at home being watched by Asha when this occurred. Most of Nila and Ranjit's family live in India but wished for Jacob to stay in the US so he could continue at the school he was at. Aaron and Asha gratefully offered to adopt him. Though it was incredibly hard for poor Jacob, Aaron and Asha were always like second parents to him, so the transition was not too difficult for him. He is thriving and doing very well in school.

Araceli was very surprised when Gwill came back from a walk one day and brought a kitten with him. They made inquiries into the kitten's owner but at the end of a week no one had claimed her. Gwill had become quite attached to the kitten so Araceli said she could stay and the couple named her Samantha "Sammy". Sammy is very frisky and playful, but when she's all tired out she falls asleep almost anywhere! Here she is fast asleep on Gwill's lap after playing with him:

We were thrilled when we found out that we successfully adopted Afrim. He is a gorgeous little boy whos mother passed away a year ago and has been living in the local orphanage. He is allergic to strawberries but that is surprisingly the only health problem he has! He loves spending time with us and we absolutely love him to bits! Who knows, maybe soon we might give him a little brother or sister!

Jack and Lilo tried to get pregnant a couple of months so when Lilo finally got pregnant they were very happy. Lilo's tummy grewed very fast and they soon found out that they were having sextuplets! The doctors said that selective reducion would be the best for all since the baby/babies would have bigger chance to survive then. Lilo and Jack said no because they can't choose who can live and who to die.
Their sextuplets were just born. The boys are triplets but not identical. All babies survived (for now) and their parents can't wait to bring them all home!

Instead, Beau and Eloise have adopted a puppy! It's a border collie, and they've named her Margot.
