We'd agreed through most of our other children's names, but when it came to Clayr, things went differently.
Zaniel decided that he liked the name Izzy, and wanted that name. But I thought it sounded too much like the pizza joint and compromised it to a middle name. I loved the name Claire, but wanted it to be different. So I decided on Clayre.
But, my husband was the one who gave the name for the birth certificate. When I first saw it, I thought he'd forgotten the 'e'! But it turned out that he preferred it that way. I gave in, eventually.
